Why is the Shenyang F-5 .3br higher than the 17AS?

They are practically the same bar some weight and wing-loading differences. Why is the F-5 .3 higher???

I have both, and to tell you the truth, the f5 burst it to play but the mig17 hardly used it. From memory I would say that the f5 has WEP push, the mig does not.

Shenyang F-5 has an afterburner, MiG-17AS doesn’t.
