Why is the Reload of Leopards so ahh long?

Even with Leadership/Reloading maxed you still have an Reload of 6.9 Seconds and you need to expert each for ~1.100.000SL and put an Ace on them (and an free Ace costs ~1.200.000RP…each…) just to get to 6 Seconds of Reload which is still slower than Abrams, Leclerc, Type10/X, Merkava, Ariete, Challenger…which can all get to like 5 Seconds or even start with it or Abrams can get 5.9 Seconds with only the Loader maxed alrdy faster than Leopards aced.

Only like Russia and China are slower but Russia has T80BVM which starts with 6sec Autoloader no Crew-Level needed and their reload of ZTZ99A and T90M etc is faster until Leopards expert their Crew

Or basically why do we need to expert/ace an Leopard just to have Reload which is still slower than most others aside from China/Russia

(and the STRVs too but theyre just Leopards too with some armour package)

Expert your tanks and it’ll give you a solid 6.4s reload.

Reload speeds have always been a balancing factor. Its the curse for being the best tank in the game…

I hate it when I forget the abrams reloads a second faster. Always gotta shoot and scoot back lol

Because the Leopard 2 is the most glorious machine ever crafted by mankind and no one else could ever come close to its greatness.

Nah for real the main reason is just that the insanely gimped 2A7V is still the best tank in the game and that’s not going to change soon

Unless you can convince the Bundeswehr to conduct an official testing of all of their tank loaders and get an average time below what is already in game and publish the results, you can’t convince Gaijin to change this stat.

They don’t need source. Gaijin do as they please for reload time.
5 second for leclerc when there’s no official source
leopard getting an extra second longer reload than abrams for being good even though it shares a similar turret basket.
List goes on and on

The rest is correct, but Leo has a far smaller loader area compared to Abrams.

The loader area in the leopard is big enough to move around. Both the abrams and leopards reload IRL would only matter on how skilled the loader is. There’s several videos of leopards and abrams reloading faster than 5 seconds.

i think 4 seconds was the fastest with an skilled loader, on average with an trained crew the leopards/loader can reload in five seconds from what i was able to find so basically like the abrams/leclerc etc in game

don’t talk about fatigue mechanic…

all Leopards are some of the best tanks ingame: they have mobility, armor, and the BEST cannon at toptier.

they have the worse stock reload due to the obvious reason that they’re so good they need a nerf to be balanced (tho they aren’t that much). just expert ur crew and u will get a decent reload that competes with the T-80BVM 3BM60’s reload.

BVM using 3BM60 is 6.4

Expert your crew then
(isn’t T-90M slower at 7.0s anyway?)

Funfact, on the Leopards its even to big, because currently it would clip into the torsion-bar suspension

Should be 7 seconds aced if anything. Most braindead MBT in the game with no counterpart

5sec on-the-move reload is there for years. It’s just balancing.

The average load times for a Leo 2 loader after 2 months of training was ~4.6s…

So it doesn’t seem like the smaller loading area even really inhibits their ability to jam the round into the breech.

6.9 isn’t a bad reload m60 has a 7.5 second reload iirc

People do know that there are leopards other than the 2a7. The Leopard 2a5/6 are actually pretty subpar for their br

kinda same until you expert, 6.9 vs 7.0 sec
