Why is the KI-83 higher in the BR or Tech Tree than the J5N1 and the J2N

So, i am grinding the Japanese Air Tree and was wondering why the KI-83 is where it is, because fom what i can see, the Performance is worse than the J2N and the J5N1, yes, it has slightly stronger engines but still can´t fight if it´s life depends on it, so somebody please enlighten me

Incorrect.
True: Its engine is only stronger.
But speed isn’t everything it has.
In a lot of cases, a lot of people struggle to properly engage it cause it isn’t designed only for turn-fighting; IJAAF(Imperial Japanese Army Air Force) fighters were often designed for medium-altitude energy fighting.

So recovery, in my opinion, is a lot better compared to some IJN aircraft such as the A6M or J2M.

She’s a tricky aircraft learner. Cause she feels like an evolution of earlier BF-109s if you had to compare them.
But then I started as a Japan main, so playing BF-109s feels incredibly weird to me.
