I’m really curious, why are German vehicles constantly having to compete against much better vehicles produced later than them?
For example, in simulation battles, the Russian T90A tank entered service in 2005, and we’re facing it with the Leopard 2A4, which entered service in 1985.
For aircraft, we’re pitting the FW 190 A1, which entered service in June 1941, against the Yak1B, a Level 3.3 tank updated in October 1942.
For example, the 109 K4, a Level 5.7 tank, is pitted against the Corsair F4U 4B, a performance monster that entered service during the Korean War?
I’m tired of constantly struggling against aircraft that are much better than me. I’m sick of being treated like fools by so many people.
I’m also open to private messages about alternative, highly playable simulation games.
Vehicles have never been matched against each other based on the year they were made, they are placed in BR based on how well they perform (Score/SL gain/RP gain/ and more) against other vehicles in the same BR.
I recommend actually trying to play the vehicles you think are better, very often they aren’t actually better but just seem like it from the outside if you’ve never played them yourself.
Litsen man i get your problem but this exist for the sake of balance after all USSR would be crushing everybody in ground battles since the T-34 was made in 1940 and the KV-1 in 1939 while they fight PzIV long 75mm which were made in 1942+ in addition you would have several vehicles from the IS series ruining games since the IS-2 would be same br as the IS-1 the IS-6 would be like 6.7 and the IS-7 would be 7.3 ignoring the all the other strong soviet vehicle made ahead of the tine
ugh yea germany is hell especially if ur an air guy like me , jets are pure hell and dogshit , only good and normal ones are premium it has some good top tiers like mig23ml and mig29 and typhoon but they are not worth it if all the other jets make you suffer
BR is separate to when a vehicle was made entered service, other wise PBV 301 (a spaa) would fight Northrop F-5s. Same with Concept 3 vs M1A1s.
I personally recommend to branch out to other nations. At first I thought the USA and USSR planes were nigh unbeatable until I played them, now I realise I do better with UK and Japanese planes.
Cause you’ll have no shortage of wittman wannabes to face short barrel Shermans in their tiger II (and they’ll still lose somehow…), but as soon as it’s about getting their face caved in by the B1 bis in their PzII, or molested by T-64s in a base leopard I, there’s nobody.
Having played il2:GB’s Battle of Kuban, Stalingrad, Kuban - i will emphatically declare that Warthunder’s GER vs USSR aircradt matvhups are much more fun as both GER and USSR.
Fighting i-16s and mig3/lagg3s in a bf109f4 is literal easy mode for both multiplayer and singleplayer in Il2. In fact germany throughout the eastern front theatre is easy mode for il2.
Warthunder makes it an even chance instead, at least if you remover instructor crippling cettain aircraft with its aoa limits and over-abuse of rudder inputs.
Fw190s do struggle yes, but as Feetpics/squishface had said himself they are kinda hard to place BR wise.
Comparing il2 to wt, fw190s biggest advantages(nearly full cockpit automation requiring only throttle input to control, button controlled flaps, homing beacon, amazing instrument layout) kinda flat out dont exist in warthunder to be considered - not even in sim due to ui and simplicity of mec and everything having 3 preset flap settings and every pilot having superhuman strength that can actuate flight controls regardless of G forces experienced thus negating the advantages of electrically controlled stabilizer incidence and flaps too.
