Why is the 9K127 Vikhr in game?

Tell me, how am I supposed to dodge a Vikhr when I just spawned and the Ka-50/52 is 4 clicks away from me, I have about 6-7 seconds to get in cover, which is literally impossible on any map

the f*ck? one is designed to clap fast moving planes out of the air at a range of up to 20km the other slow moving tanks from at most 10km its called atgm for a reason

i know it got nerfed many times that makes it even more ridicules that a vehicle that has been in the game so long still causes havoc 5 years later or almost 5 years wehn talking about the ka52
back then they were adding uk phantoms and m1a2 look at were they are now

Pantsir has never clapped a fast moving plane more than 14km away in War Thunder more than 1% of missile launches, never in my experience of seeing thousands of Pantsirs.

Ka-50 doesn’t cause havoc, and neither does Ka-52.
The lack of spawned SPAA causes issues, and that’s really it.

800mm of pen is enough for any top-tier tank, the same goes for the explosive filler. Yeah you might not get one shots as often as you would with higher caliber missiles like the Hellfire but you still can get the job done easily unless you aim it poorly. Both of the cons you mentioned get absolutely destroyed by the pros of the Vikhr. If you think the Vikhr are just “usable” it’s a huge skill issue on your side

Vikhr and Ataka are two separate missile systems for a start and not a modernization program like you claim

I never said Vikhr and Ataka are the same thing, I said that there’s a modernization program for the Ataka missile, which supposedly brings it’s range up 8-10km.

800MM is enough to pen any top-tier tank, more than that is just a big number for the sake of having a big number that won’t change anything unless you decide you want to try to pen Leopard’s cheeks for some reason(pretty sure even that won’t be possible unless it’s the AKD-10 with it’s 1400MM of pen).

Some missiles having the same range as the Vikhr literally means nothing, like in what circumstance are you going to launch your ATGM at 10KM range? Anything past 8KM is also just numbers for the sake of numbers, I can barely remember making any launches even at 8KM and can’t even remember a single one of them being successful, because the stars have to align for such a long range launch to not get interrupted by anything.

I don’t think that’s a good solution, it would just power creep the game even more, like what would nations that don’t use the Longbow(which is like everyone except US and Japan?) do? Instead of adding more OP weaponry it should be exchanged for something similar in performance to what’s available for most nations.

you should bring the the early ah64 into heli ec there you will see how balanced the ka50/k52 is
putting the f15c with its current loadout against the mig23mld would be more balanced

I did, I easily outscore all Kamovs due to the ability to fire far faster.
AH-64 is the F-15C, and Ka-52 is the Mig-29SMT.

do you have a replay for that the kamarov is both faster and has more missiles which are also faster

Friendly reminder the Longbow Hellfire is older than the Vikhr. It’s existence in-game without the 114L is entirely a fabrication on gaijins end, and does not represent any real life or historical precedent.

Kamov has 12 missiles [4 less than Apache], and is the same speed.

Both are effectively the same in anti-air; their best anti-air missiles are manpads.
Vikhrs are worse than the Iglas for anti-air role.

Proxy fuse would be great for A2A
