Can someone explain why the 2S38 is at 10.3? While the HSTV/L is 11.7? The 2S38 is broken and deserves a B.R. change do you agree?
The 2S38 can wipe out entire teams and with the turret ring nerf of Abrams and Leo’s it is now more annoying to fight them.

Squish it down to half its size, give it 3x the gun depression, and double the horsepower on the engine and then it can be 11.7 sure.

Do you have solid arguments on why it should have a higher battle rating instead of using excuses and “because this, because that”.
Weakspots in vehicles can be exploited by every other vehicle in-game, 2S38 doesn’t have a magic property that can only makes it penetrate M1 Abrams’ and Leopard 2A4s’ horizontal drive.
The 2S38 is 10.3 because it is better than the Begleitpanzer 57 and the VCC 80/60.
The 2S38 is also significantly worse than the HSVL, where there are examples of tanks purely with mobility buffs over previous tanks being 1.0 BR higher.
HSTVL has a massive mobility buff and a notable ammo buff. HSTVL is at minimum 1.0 BR superior to 2S38.

It would be the same even if used as SPAA, LVKV9040C moment, well the 9040C gets the worse dart vs the Strf 9040C at the same BR. So it would probably just get a worse APFSDS if possible for balance or just stay the same.
Tbf the LVKV is just a minor upgrade over the 9040B, spall liners but only on the rear and side so frontal engine shots still nearly nuke the crew but the added 2 crew members help with survivability.
LVKV is just a slower 9040B as the armor and spall liners are just not effective, the additional crew is nice but the same light tank model as the LVKV the Strf 9040C has the 3 crew and the better round. Again if the 2S38 becomes an SPAA i doubt it would get nerfed as i don’t think there a weaker APFSDS for it, additionally gaijin would likely add another 2S38 to replace the lost LT model if i had to guess.
Gaijin just hates Spookston, that’s why the HSTV-L is still at 11.7. The 2S38 being a full BR and a half lower than the HSTV-L is just pure stupidity. 2S38 should be 11.0 or the HSTV-L be moved to 11.0. Anyone who has played the HSTV-L Will know how the round is pure suffering, it’s almost as bad as using HESH.

Better gd no LWS or ESS (Ik ESS is kinda useless at 11.7) the 2S38 really should get its B.R. raised or the HSTV/L be lowered if the round doesnt get fixed.
Using both the hstvl and the 2s38. I’d say the 2s38 warrants probably a .3+ in br.
Hstvl is thee top tier light tank. Fast reload, good speed, and a small silhouette. It’s fairly easy to use and straight forward. (Though some more ammo wouldn’t hurt)
2s38 on the other hand is basically a true support/backline tank. Made to keep the skies clear and support the main units in battle. While it can be used offensively to great effect in the right hands and situation, It will generally get killed by the first mbt that sees it.

The Lvkv 9040C is balanced based purely on its SPAA performance, as that’s the best aspect of the vehicle. It has a search radar, proxy 40mm, and IR tracking. Thus 10.3.
The 2S38 if balanced on its SPAA performance would be 9.7 due to the lack of search radar.
The 2S38 balanced on its anti-tank performance is ~10.3.
2S38 becoming a SPAA classification is exclusively a buff to the vehicle as its SP is reduced and separated from other vehicles.

The HSTVL is 11.7 because it’s the best auto-light in the game, and the 2nd best light tank in the game.
The 2S38 is drastically inferior to the HSTVL, I don’t get why people keep defending 2S38 claiming it’s as good as HSTVL when its round is notably worse and its mobility is garbage compared to HSTVL. It’s like comparing a T-72A mobility to Abrams. Wild.
Everyone that has played the HSTVL knows it’s vastly superior to 2S38.
@Xoiball-psn HSTVL’s pen is already buffed. It’s 22% better than 2S38’s while having double mobility.
I was playing 10.3 and absolutely despise this thing, I keep running into these things head-on then the next second I find myself without a barrel or breech in my T-72s, I actually have negative KD going up against this thing lol
