I don’t watch videos where I’m waiting around trying to watch what happens because I don’t understand the language…
I also don’t think there would be a quick reload for a nuke IRL, because really, there’s not that much of an idea to rearm a nuke in that respect… It’d be more thought of a one-way trip, or that it’d be done and anything else would be retaliatory and missile based.
The fact of the matter is that it won’t explode, and that the denial of this being dropped as the OP is pointing to, isn’t to do with them sitting on the airfield, it’s the bomb being shot out of the sky.
Tbf its a bit idiotic if your able to fly your nuke all the way to the battlefield dodging spaa, he-vt, and other planes. Using all your sp to drop the game winning weapon. Only for a .50 and such to say nope and destroy your nuke mid air even though you did everything right.
Now your in the middle of a map with little sp, probably at the end of the game with spaa around, and need to make a 2 trips just to do it again.

I was “hit” by a bomb while it was in the airplane, with the bomb hatch closed, with a bullet from a 12.7mm machine gun. THAT’S FUCKING AWESOME. That you pulled your team to victory when your team just died and your only chance of winning was you, but the game told you: the dudes on the enemy team with a K/D of 0.5 should win, not you. It’s simple here, the developer is just a dumb monkey who didn’t even finish elementary school, but decided he can make games and sell bags for 80 dollars!
And yes, watch the video with subtitles or translate it using AI, otherwise you have to chew everything up like a little kid.
So the point is, it’s not even in the air when the bomb is dropped, it’s in the airplane when the bomb hatch is closed. I’ve lost the game a few times because of that.
so magically u can shoot bombs in the air but in the plane it somehow has a unlimited level of protection to not detonate (IRL if u shoot a bomb in mid air or in a plane it’ll blow up there n then)
thing is, you dont even get a second trip! you dont get the nuke by rearming!
With normal airplanes yes, it does, you can’t detonate a bomb in a closed bomb bay, but not with a nuke plane. That’s why I say it’s a bug!

Because people should be able to shoot down the nuke.
Nuke is not instant win button.
It has disappeared for me too, I was playing a 6.7-7.7 match, and I kamikaze’d my spitfire into a nuke, I don’t know if it was the bullets being fired at it, or me ramming it, but it disappeared 🤔

If opponents should have a chance to shoot down an airplane with a nuke, which I don’t fundamentally disagree with, then they shouldn’t have a chance, by random hit, to “destroy” the bomb itself. And you don’t have to prove to me that this is how it works in reality. War Thunder is no longer a simulation or a game very close to real life.
Why? They shoot, they hit - bomb neutralised.
There is no oroblem here. It is a game afterall, and players have option to counter dropped nuke.
It does not even happen that often to be honest.
Man, you really dropped nuke ON YOUR FRIENDLY tanks, on map where you control ground points. You think in real life military* would nuke it’s own people or teritory they control?

If it doesn’t happen often in those who don’t stuff nukes. I have racked up 5 nukes in those two days, 2 of which I “lost” because my bomb was destroyed through a CLOSED bomb hatch. Just to remind you, normal bombs don’t get destroyed or explode if the bomb hatch is closed, but nukes disappear for some reason.
My point about realism was to the fact that for the second day I have been proved that in reality it works like that. That’s why I wrote about the “realism” of War Thunder.
Of course normal bombs can be destroyed also in closed bomb bays…
They do in fact explode too.
The reason is - nuke is not “instant win” button.
Enemy detected you and countered your nuke.
No problem here, normal game design here.
If it were not the case and nuke would be “instant win button” you would never dropped anything, as everybody would leave the lobby the moment the siren would sound.
