Why is Gaijin so inconsistent?

Months ago I made a bug report about the Harriers Flaps deployment being incorrect and even after changing a lot of things on the dev server including flap deployment speeds they where still unable to fix how they deploy.

Yet here in there very own loading screen they somehow have the deployment correct???
Where’s the consistency lol.

We need to build a time machine and fix Yak-38

Then they will stop manipulating Harrier, I guess.

I actually don’t think the 2 are connected. The Yak-38 likely over performs by a few counts but still.

Honestly, it might be nothing but a long-overdue engine problem.

Ehhh. But I just want to believe that Gaijin want to bias Yak-38 by manipulating the Harrier. :P
Then, there will be no other option than to utilize a time machine. To fix IRL Yak-38!
(Ofc this is a joke take)

I suppose its not like they’ve ever nerfed a western thing because of a soviet thing.

Stingers Cough Cough

Sorry, had something caught in my throat :P

More likely, Gaijin doesnt see the value in investing any meaningful time or energy into a vehicle that isnt US or USSR origin.

well lets hope that the harriers are burning clean after the next patch. sick of seeing that black plume out the rear. eegs for sea harrier FRS.1

hopeful for an official announcement for the engine temperatures/ IR signatures and a possible rework.

In the meantime im spading every harrier ingame! only need to grind the italian harrier II and spade the AV8C, AV8S Late and finish the sea harriers in the british trees (performance is all done)

Doubt

wasn’t fixed on latest dev and when I asked SMIN the answer was there are currently no further plans with the Harriers.

That drives me most nuts.

EEGS? fine might have wanted to get the HUD squared away first maybe?

IR Signature? Yeah I can see that taking a while to figure out a fair way to bodge it or better yet fix it.

But sooty exhaust, come on devs, surely doesnt take that long too fix

Peg-asses lol

But honestly ill go out on a limb and say the the Devs have a genuine disliking of the Harriers and therefore didn’t care enough to have actually researched them.

The engine does appear to produce a sooty exhuast when using water injection, under the right conditions, especially noticable when in the hover. But yeah, in level flight, when you normally wouldnt use water injection, the engine was specifically designed to produce no visible exhaust (from the Harrier Gr3 tactics manual)

i wouldnt say dislike, i just think they dont understand how GOOD this jet was in real life. It should be second to none in a low speed dogfight compared to ANYTHING of its time. 23/0 KD against air targets in real combat because its airframe allowed it to pull high G and retain all that energy.

In game we have a sad aircraft thats avoided because of its incorrect flight model, IR signature and even the basics like EEGS and smoke out the rear. They didnt research it before adding and didnt even model the GR.3 correctly visually. BUT this is a gaijin thing. Kfir C.10 is still missing its EEGS and they cockpit was wrong on launch too (this is just one i can remember annoyed me)

They researched it so little the engines don’t even have their installed thrust values lol.

Well, as a joke
Harrier might be fixed when the F-35 comes up
Just like New Tornado FM when Su-24 comes out.

Ofc our brimstone will fixed when AGM-114L comes out.
It will be nothing more than a side effect level.

Anyway back to the original topic
Every new Harrier update feels quite mixed.
Trying to look the bright side, but the dark side part is way too dark to endure.

There are American Harriers lol.

It seems AV-8B+ wasn’t cool enough for dev. :/

Even the AV-8A and C having different weapons. The C should get the flares too.
