Why is every new plane in Japan called the Zero?

I guess is because some national pride, Zero is the most famous things that Japan made and f westerner up

Steins;Gate Zero, Re:Zero, ReCreators Fate/Zero, Aldnoah:Zero, Fairy Tail Zero

close enough

All of them are, actually, lol

in wt people wanting japans zeros nerfed or up BR’ed cause imagine trying to turnfight a turnfighter in a nonturn fighting plane

add to that list: Macross Zero

It stands for their percent chance at winning WWII

Technically true, I don’t see my Viper Zero winning WWII anytime soon

Considering that the Japs were running low on basic resources in 1941… yeah, I don’t think the F-16 is winning WWII.

Unless

Pretty sure that was the F-14s job

Sorry mate, I don’t think you lot are winning WWIII either. Last time Japan and Korea teamed up, they kinda lost the war.

Well, the Americans must have used the Farkours from the Kingdom of Persia. I don’t think the AIM 54s would have been too useful.

some alternate reality xD they probably won

Classic things never changes:

  • Go into WT playing with “the best aircrafts in the world”
  • Destryoed by Zero because game is not easy and for good results you need skills
  • Doing conclusion that Japanese planes is bias and overbuffed and made not historical (only historical knowledge of this guy is wiki pages and Francillon books)

meanwhile players who are good/know how to play something has to suffer the wrath of gaijin, because some players think they are the main character

No bro, America won the war with like the best planes, so like Japan lost, so that means they should be 12.0 and nerfed to absolutely nothing!

Is that actually true? Would be really cool.

currently it’s still the F-3 from my knowledge

Depends on the period and whose calling it.
In WW2 Allied soldiers and airmen often called(or misidentified ) every Japanese plane a “zero” sort of how in the ETO they called every german tank a “tiger”.
IN modern times its part PR and part fandom from militaria fans
