Why is account transfer manual

I don’t want to rehash the “WheN iS My AcCouNt unLocKEd”. what I’m really asking is if its such a labor intensive task, why not partially automate it, and or rework how console and pc accounts differ to make the workload lighter? its a system that makes players angry, lowers income from said players (many of whom are probably the most willing to spend on the game), takes devs away from the actual game, and floods the help requests. overall I would think that it is a relatively easy task to just to automate it, but if you have insight, please LMK!

Do you know what steps are required to make an account transfer happen? If you don’t then you have no idea how easy/hard it would be to automate if it is even possible.

if it is hard to automate it, then you could change the way you have to do it. from what I have gathered they have to completely make a new account and give you your vehicles one by one. why not simplify it? I’m not saying that they are wrong, just if they were to give more information it would be beneficial. all most people know is that “my account transfer will take weeks :(:(:(”

It doesn’t take weeks for them to do it. I was one of the first people that managed to get a transfer done the day after they announced them again and it took about 2 hours for them to complete it once they started. It is just such a popular thing that you have to wait for them to get to you in the hordes of other players. I’m not trying to say it couldn’t be improved, but I would assume that if there was a more efficient way to do it they probably would have switched to it by now because it seems so labor intensive.

If it’s entirely manual, what stops you from just lying about the vehicles you have to unlock everything?

Manual for the employees, not the player.
