I think barrel roll is a bit overkill.
Early sparrows are awful , I think positioning yourself in a way that places a mountain / ground behind you is enough to make the carrier radar just give up.
The AIM-4 is more likely to fly past you and wave hello than it is to actually hit. There’s a reason they were only ever fired in pairs IRL
