in my Opinion Fox 3 will help it more than it can hurt the JA37D
the weakness that is the Radar won’t be as significant anymore since you don’t need to hold the lock as long and it can carry 4 AMRAAMs instead of 2 Dogfight which simply increases your hit chances
and with better BVR missiles the sub par Dogfighting performance won’t be as much of an issue as it is now
JA-37C at 11.7 isn’t as helpful, then Sweden’s now missing an 11.0.
Which J35J will not do as that’d be 10.7 and not a Viggen.
The difference between AV-8B and Viggen is that Viggen has a good airframe above 9.7.
And F-4F ICE has Mig-29s to augment its positioning.
Why do you think it will go to 11.7? You’re clearly exaggerating. 37D WITH BOL isn’t even 11.7, it’s 11.3. JA37D needs its RB99’s. Your entire argument is basically this:
JA37D is OP at 11.3. It’d be balanced back at 11.7.
With RB99s it goes to 12.7 with everyone else and is a worse Gripen A to play cause it’s carried by its missiles.
If you want to know how Viggen D will feel with RB99s, go play Harrier GR7.
Idk man, ill always choose the mirage at 11.7 over the viggen, the viggen at 11.7 was mid and i agree its strong for 11.3 but its not on par with 11.7 vehicles.
I say this because i can actually turn againstf16’s in my mirage unlike the viggen, idk but the viggen turns slower then the j35d, anyone feel that?
It was clearly lowered to 11.3 for a reason so the devs don’t agree with you. It was horrible at that 11.7.
37D with RB99 will NOT be the same BR as more modern Fox 3 carriers, it will have a lower BR. For the same reason Su25’s with R73 are sitting at 1.3 BR below the next R73 carrier. And AIM9M on Harriers being 0.7 BR below the next 9M carrier
Man the su25T was awful. The r73’s without hmd made getting rear aspect 100% kills difficult even then you dont turn well and i remember getting into a turnfight with a tornado lmao. Yeah r73’s and that thing gun were decent but it was rough to play against gripens, f15, ect
Mig 27M and K were great, excellent flight model and just a laser beam gun.
Yeah and the 37D is awful compared to F15, F16, Su27’s and Gripens. It will sit at a middle-ground BR and we will still have a Viggen with 9L with the 37C
I think not adding Rb99’s is the way to go for the D
Well the Mirage 2000 is also OP. It’s literally an F-16 with essentially 2 AAM-3s and 2 R-27Rs.

Also correct, modern AARH carriers will be 13.0+.
Then it’s best not to ask for a missile that’d increase its BR to those levels.
Yeah ive said this because the nerf to aoa killed my enjoyment of the viggen outside of full control. Its basically a glorified missile bus, its not a good turnfighter and the C shows it wasnt that strong considering out of the vehiclea to get a PD it was the only one to stay 11.0 tho i atribute that to the matter of only having 2 radar slots. Besides sweden would be missing an 11.3-.7 vehicle if the D gets Rb99
The only thing we’re missing out on is an IR Viggen with BOL. That’s it. 37C will fill the void of the 37D. All this for BOL pods.
No they wouldn’t, JA37C would recieve it’s 9L’s that It should 100% have and go to 11.3. And Sweden already have an 11.0 with AJ.

My only gripe is i prefer the 11.0 viggen to the 11.3, i know the C can have all the current mods on the D but i just prefer my 11.0 viggen over the D because 11.3 is the f15 black hole
I love the Viggens, but I can’t enjoy them if they start being carried by their missiles.
It’s why I never once asked for 9Ms on F-16A/F-14B.
Or R-73s on standard Mig-29s.
Or Magic 2s on Super Etendard.

The largest distance of 6x 9L carriers is 0.7, which itself is incorrect as Kurnass 2000 and Viggen D are already OP at 11.3.
So in reality it’s 0.3, especially once F-20 is moved to 11.7.
So 0.3 is what you’re looking for for the difference between the 12.7 F-4F ICE and Viggen D with AMRAAMs to F-16s and Gripens with AMRAAMs IF 13.0 is correct for them.
Current Viggens are:
10.7, 11.0, 11.0 and 11.3, super compressed.
With RB99 We’d have:
10.7, 11.0, 11.3 and ∼12.0-12.3 - along with 12.7 39A and 13.0-13.3 39C. It’s perfect
We don’t need 4 Viggens at those similar BR’s. There’s plenty of room for 37D to go up, we’d still have 37C which will be exact same except BOL.

If the viggen get their historical engine values which gaijin has denied and they get the aoa nerf undone ill be fine with the D going back to 11.7, but if it remains a glorified missiles bus as the D currently is i will just continue to play the C until the end of time. The C is the only good viggen besides the AJ37 which is a joke compared to my mirage IIIE at the same br or the milan at 9.7 next to the j35a, u less they’ve both been moved up idk
Gaijin should just add danish or norwegion f16, at least it would help make the tree more appealing in the end as they have more than just a gripen whoch can be found on 2 other tech trees
