Why hasn't the F-15EX been added yet?

USA still doesn’t have a 14.7 vehicle, and the F-15EX is the perfect addition to bring the USA to top tier (Israel too, their max BR plane is the F-15E at 14.0). Extremely busted vehicles such as the SU-30SM2, Rafale have been added, but still no EX?

The EX would be a decent improvement over the 15C GE, with 4 more AIM-120’s, increasing the total to 16. Way better engines and avionics ect.

I’d guess that they’re saving it to add together with the SU-35, but the problem is that the SU-30SM2 in game is almost identical to the SU-35. It has the same radar, same amount of missiles, extremely similar flight model ect.

They recently added the AIM-120D which does nothing and is basically a copy of the C-5, which in itself is worse than the AIM-120A/B.

Whats the reason for keeping both USA and Israel behind compared to other nations?

GE is a shadow of EX, It could do most of the job an EX do, except the initial BVR climb and 4 additional missiles. Just hope they don’t increase the BR of GE.

AIM 120D is decently good, in fact this is what a modern Fox 3 should do, every other Fox 3s after the 90s should have the same level of chaff resistance of the 120D in-game, and 120D itself should be much better. The current engagement distance is still too close and they should make it much further to real-life level.

EX and GE would be pretty similar in game yes, but the EX is still a nice improvement that could definitely help both Israel and USA.

120D has the same exact chaff resistance as every other missile in the game except the MICA. All missiles require 1 chaff per second to be kept in IOG when MICA requires 1.5.

Better IOG is a way to improve chaff resistance, making low speed notching much harder. You can no longer lose energy like nothing.

You’re dead to anything at top tier if you get slow anyways, 120D doesn’t change anything.

It’s not ready.

The EX? It surely cannot be THAT hard to implement, the engines already exist in game, its radar is pretty much the same thing as the C GE, it gets the same missiles ect. What about it takes so long to implement?

Give the F-15E F-110-129 engines, copy paste the F-15C GE radar and loadout, and give it double rack AIM-120’s, BOOM you get the EX.

Aim120d doesnt have better chaff resistance

No, but it is better at relocking after losing out to chaff, which is a sort of ‘notch or chaff resistance’.

Not really?

I def felt it had a few more occasions of just ignoring evasive maneuvers and just taking out like one of these high flying EF or F15.

they probably werent chaffing,

the disrespect lmao, you just described the modern F-15E (with no MAW) and called it an “f15ex”

well i mean that’s what F15EX is. It’s just F15E with new radar and more missile racks, hardly an improvement to be game changing and will still lose to other 14.7 but I don’t think it can be 14.3 either, oh well

It would get spherical RWR and MAWS with good speed and acceleration. Along with that 16 A2A missile would be very good for current meta

yea for BVR it’s definitely an upgrade over the F15C GE thanks to the better engine from F15E, but other 14.7 would still wipe the floor with F15EX in a turn fight cuz F15EX have a much worse flight model

I’d estimate it’s flight model to be somewhere between the F-15C and the F-15E

it’s safe to say that it’s worse than F15E because it’s still a two-seater and the additional missile makes it heavier and more drag

Pretty sure it uses some other material for its frame which makes it lighter then F-15E. Also why would you be dogfighting with missiles?

the latest F-15E’s are actually fairly similar to the F-15EX’s except for the improved payload, MAWS potential, engines (GE-129 vs PW-229) and FBW (which may not matter for WT besides maybe sim)
