Why has the FV4005 not already been moved down to like 5.3 if you are just going to keep it THIS BAD?

no

from my own calculations a while ago basing it off the 105mm HESH from about 4 years later it probs should be in the ball park of 20KG of RDX based gelignite. upping the current filler amount by 3kg.

the main issue is that HESH damage modelling is just blatantly wrong and explosive yield boosts wont mask that problem.

Scabbing is not modelled and the armour deterioration from the shockwave (often called the penetration) is far too small.

from my own estimates using gun test reports HESH should go through a solid 20% more than it currently does.

76mm HESH from an FV101 scorpion has near to the penetration value that the 105mm HESH has in game in real life, its insane how weak hesh is against RHA compared to what it should be

From the damage ive seen the 183 HESH do to Tanks, nah. There are Bombs in this game that have less explosive filler and can kill tanks from meters away.

We are talking about a shell that ripped whole suspension bogies off of Centurions and Conqureors despite hitting spaced armor.

Its gotta have atleast another 10kg in there atleast.

And the TESTING rounds were underloaded with Explosive filler, that is entirely known.

They used inert plastic to fill in the gaps to make the shells still squish properly. But the L4s 183HESH was supposed to have even more explosive filler if it went into service.

Gaijin is using (from what i can find) the Underloaded TEST LOADs, for the stats in game(and even its still a few KG short). Which would make it the only case in the entire game of a Tank that gets prototype testing rounds, instead of full power intended ones, Minus Hispanos getting Practice shells in their belts… (Funny how its only the British that have to deal with this huh)

its in the same vein as them ignoring the Multiple Sources that the British DID use M61 with the Explosive filler still intact.

most likley no. Youre just comparing real world hesh to war thunder HE, both are extremley gimped

Tanks hit directly by artillery get demolished, entireley. I know this image sucks but its of whats left of a m1 abrams after being hit by a 155mm artillery shell in a test

HESH to a certain extent is using the idea that Barnes Wallis had when making the bouncing bomb, you need less explosives to do the same damage if you get it closer. the 183 (at least in the tests against the spaced armour on a conqueror) pushed the spaced armour against the rest of the tank negating the bazooka plates almost entireley

Bombs are maybe the most inconsistent thing in game, American 1000lb bombs work as expected but the MC british 1000lb bomb seems like im dropping a wet sponge. my only bomb kill on a maus was with a GP 250lb bomb with a miss if that says anything

you got actual proof of that?

we arent the only ones to get PT shells in gun loads.

yes but do you really want the churchill mkVII moved even higher up? it already struggles unless its a full downtier

It would justify 4.7, why is the T14 at 4.7 with better armour all around the tank, APHE and better mobility?
