22kg TNT equivalent hitting a BMP only to give a “Non penetration”
You telling us the tank is fine and the shell works every time does not match up with your poor performance in said tank.
Personally, I prefer the Su-152 over the Kv-2
Same, but wanted to compare two turreted vehicles and about same size.
Gaijin nerf FV4005 shell to nothing and is weaker than 12,7 hmg.
Guys…i actually understand the issue…but saying HESH is useless is not true and can be dismissed as “trolling”.
Sometimes (quite often, actually) the FV4005 can get one shot kills…it does work. I have more issues with its slow reload than with the shell efficiency…(although i also got non-effective hits on unarmored targets on occasion)
If you want to have something fixed i SUGGEST you get the facts (and adjectives) right, if you want to be taken seriously.
It can work, but it should work much more consistently. I shouldn’t have to wait 30 something seconds just to take out someone’s track, or barrel just to get .50 cal’d to death. As you (probably) saw my screenshot, I shouldn’t spend so long to reload just to do damage like that. The 4005 is ineffective at its current tier and it should either be fixed or moved down in BR.
It works sometimes, to the point it’s a meme in the community. By any reasonable definition that’s broken and it’s certainly not trolling.
He admits in his post
If I wait 30+ seconds to reload, I’d damn hope so. It’s a glass cannon in which the cannon can be completely ineffective, so what does that leave you as?
I spaded the FV4005 and the shell wasn’t really the issue. The 30 second reload, large silhouette, slow turret traverse, and paper-thin turret armour where the main negatives I noticed.
Every time I see one of these while flying CAS, I strafe them and feel a bit bad.
A decent amount of vehicles in the game are at a bad BR, it’s just a flaw in the system. Especially for minor nations. It’s generally more common to see a good vehicle go up in BR than a bad vehicle go down in BR. (looks at France)
However i agree that currently FV4005 does suck, im not a fan of seeing more cold war vehicles in WW2 BRs.
The only one trolling here is you atm. HESH needs serious rework and buff,it currently doesnt do damage. Or you are telling me Centurion AVRE shooting T-54 into turret with its 25 kg TNT HESH should only kill one guy and make breech yellow?
That’s why I don’t play the FV4005 anymore, getting strafed way too much and the thought of being there just to entertain CAS players and feeding them points just makes me sick to my stomach. The reload and the damage inconsistency doesn’t stop me from playing it, the stupid planes did lol
Criticism is now counted as trolling :S
Ok good to know.
This is a hilariously bad take sorry to say. Just some kind of cover up to not fix it?
Have you not seen the IrL power of a HESH round??
The FV4005 should straight up destroy a tiger 2 Is-3 or any other equivalent heavy tank with a solid slap to even its thickest armour.
I dont know if HESH is accurately modelled or not…i ADMIT i am not an expert on this…BUT i saw LOTS of good kills with HESH, so not useless as said/hinted above…
What i said above and several times on this and other topics…is that FV4005 is a Glass Canon as many others in game and not a particularly good…but not a trash vehicle for sure.
Not sure if BR is correct…but this is debated on several topics on several vehicles…
BUT…if you want HESH to be “corrected” you have to be clear and honest about it…that is my suggestion…just saying “it is useless” is not going to help…
It’s a glass cannon in which the cannon isn’t even consistent. It’s just glass at 6.3
BTW…i would AGREE with a change that made the gun more effective…or at least more reliable…the vehicle is playable but surely not dominant…
If it is a realistic change so much the better…
(I didn’t see the reply above…not sure what was the intent)
I can’t help but think if it recieved overpressure like normal HE it would be perfectly fine, or just absolutely nuke everything (228mm HE pen would be hilarious). But you consistently see a HE round with 7ish KG of TNT consistently 1 shotting things, why shouldnt a round with 21.7kg onetap?
Most glass canons are not consistent…that is part of my point…FV4005 is not worse than almost all russian TDs (as an example) that have slow reloads and inconsistent shells…
Every week i get a shot with a great gun absorbed by an optics module or hit a unarmored vehicle for minimal effect…not limited to Fv4005…
