Why Germany is the only nation with no acces to Light/fast scout tank at Rank III?

All nations have acces to this kind of similar tank at rank III.
USA: Hellcat.
Soviets: PT-76.
UK: Concept 3.
Japan: M24.
China: Object 211/PT.
Italy: M24/Breda (is not a light tank but is very good in that role)
France: AMX and EBR.
Sweden: M24/PT.
Israel: No rank III.

With the senseless movility nerfs for practically every German tank (Leopards, Panthers, Tiger 1 and 2 suffer in the last years from stupid movility nerfs) this kind of light tanks is more than neccesary.
The are several options like East Germany PT-76 or another WW2 fast tanks or even a non premiun variant of Sdkfz 234/4 (just like USA with one TT Hellcat and another 2 very easily obtain premiun versions).

Yeah one of the biggest problems tbh since spotting is very strong regardless of br

I doubt that they will add a non premijm 234 version because it would hurt sales on the market. GDR PT-76b or alvis saladin is much more likely

They don’t need the strongest tanks in EVERY area.

Well the Hellcats need to be returned to Tank Destroyers. There was no reason to make them light tanks. The M24 should be the US Rank III light tank.

It does make them cost more in spawn points, which helps.

As for Germany, now that the 234/2 is at 3.7, might as well make that one rank III.

+1.

Yes, is a option. But his poor armor and gun is not very reliable practically every tank i listed is beeter in fire power.
I dontk know why Gaijin keep hidding behind a pay wall every good non nerfed German tank and plane.
Good movility and fire power like Pakwagen and RU - pay.
Non nerfed Tiger 1 and 2 - pay.
Good CAS - pay.
I cant wait for a premiun version of non nerfed movliy Panther A…

I agree with moving the 234/2 to Rank III.

To be fair, the Puma is still good up to rank 4 since it is so fast.

Complaints like these are why we have so much copy paste slop. Not every nation needs access to everything, just look at italy and sweden having no tech tree heavy tanks. Whats the point of choosing to play different nations if they have the exact same capabilities with a different flag

Yes, can do the job but is kms away from other lights tanks from rank 4.

The only two “negative” post coming from USA mains, what a surprise lol.

Problem with the puma is that you really need to shoot at nearly 0° at the side armor of heavy tanks to pen at closer distance. Else it will simply not pen.

There is a reason it isnt 5.0 a light tank between the puma and m41 would still be nice even if it was rank 3

lacking a light tank is much worse than lacking a heavy tank due to spotting especially with germany which makes up 80%+ of the team. That means most likely the whole team doesnt have spotting.

One non c&p (at least limited to the one tree) option would be like @ElGrancapitan wrote to have a Sdkfz 234/4 version in the tech tree. That is for certain not c&p. IIRC there was a topic about a version with a slightly different gun

Else maybe switzerland has something but when I looked for it I didnt see something fitting. Only options would be auto cannon vehicles which germany has aswell similar to the sub1-2 maybe at 5.7 with apds

East German PT-76B or Schutzenpanzer Kurz would be great to see
What is the Kurz?
This little guy:
17610704786168973360965875144473
A West German reconnaissance vehicle entering service in 1959. Small, fast (but terrible reverse speed), lightly armored, and fitted with a turret essentially identical (except thinner armour) to the Lang. With HE, AP, APCR, and APDS. Retired in 1984, replaced by the Weisel.

Not only that. Is the ability for go and cap points faster and secure until the rest of your team arrive.
Most of the battles i lose with Germany is precisally because my team is full of nerfed slow tanks are ambushed when you arent even closer to cap point.

Sadly Spähpanzer Kurz cant get apds because it has the same gun like the recoiles gun battle pass tank from germany. So 57 max pen and bad angle pen. Would probably 4.7 max

Yeah that is another point. Getting to the point and holding it is a lot easier. Luckily in warthunder most overextend (push further) and make it possible to recap the point

They should consider giving more German TDs spotting then. I think the game is better when every nation feels strong in a different area, so if you feel like you are lacking in something the solution should be to play a different nation

I believe that is incorrect. The Lang was retired between 1974 and 1980, but the Kurz served until 1984. DM63 entered service in 1982.
And here:

talks specifically about APDS (dutch-produced DM63)
