No that is factually incorrect too.
Seeing as I’ve went n seen them not long ago.
The leopard 2E used by the Spanish, stands for España and im not even kidding.
even a simple google search would of saved that.
The Leopardo 2E or Leopard 2A6E , was ordered by Spain and slightly changed to meet their military doctrine. Same idea as a 2A4M for canada.
sorry to necro it also to ask if i can use that screenshot of yours ?
The E only stands for it being delivered to spain nothing more
The 2a6ex is the predecesor of the HEL and E, greek and spanish leopards. which then later on further developed to the 2a7v
The 2a4m was a 2a4 that was canada requested kmw to upgrade. The 2a6ex and following 2a6hel/e were results of germanys own upgrade programm for the general leopards
No i ask because when im at an expo and im told the tank is different due to being named Leopard 2E (for España) and having different specifications for the spanish army over the 2A6EX demo, I generally believe it.
The 2a6ex and 2e arent 1:1 the same 2a6ex still has gen 1 thermals. But it was the base for the 2e. Additionaly the 2a6ex just isnt widely known by those outside of the specific group.
So honestly the average spanish crewmembers just honestly might not know it
Yeah the name i gaves just the spanish name for it , tortuga is turtle :D
so a completely impossible feat for Gaijin got you.
It kinda cool but looks weird at tthe same time xD im reading through their sort of pages of information on it
Leopardo 2E* apoligies missed the o in the leopardo 2E.
yeah Dotshini elaborated on it as well tbh, it does puzzle me why we have so many challanger 2s for example, or so many abrams yet missing they skirted around leopard 2s for so long.
If the tanks are better than the competition (depending if they even bother to implement them right then BRs should reflect it)
But genuinely interesting read that on the 2A6EX, mind if i save that information?
Yeah but suppose as well at an expo they don’t want to just say its a leopard 2a6EX maybe? cant rightly answer why they informed me otherwise.
Probably because it’s a descendant of a 2A6EX? So yes, they’re right in saying that’s it’s a Leopard 2E and not a 2A6EX, you’re wrong in saying that 2E isn’t a successor to the 2A6EX.
Correct. I was under the impression the 2E I was shown was more adapted from it due to the time difference of the writing of this and the expo last year.
I don’t think I understand, isn’t rate of fire the single most important stat you could have to deal with weak spots? If you mess up you can try again faster
