Why even play war thunder anymore: thinking of quitting

wholly incorrect.

I had a round last night where my entire team sat doing nothing in spawn. It’s worse than people are claiming it is.

And I don’t mean they were sniping from spawn, I mean they were just doing NOTHING

I see, your posts are just ragebait.
I thought September was the month of bad takes, but October seems to be competing against last month already.

I saw maybe 3 cheaters at most this week out of hundreds to thousands of players.

correct.

That’s about the amount of cheaters and bots Gaijin bans every month.

Just making up numbers to try to bolster your point does no one any good. It just skews the whole conversation.

While I am sure we all know some levels of frustration playing the game, it is always good to go back and look at what got you really going for it when you had just begun playing.

I don’t really grind for specific vehicles too much anymore, I have far more than I can play now as it is. I can’t even be bothered to go back and spade the nearly 1000 I have yet to finish spading . . .lol, too much work.

I have been doing Battle Pass stuff the last 5 years since it began, and was doing the same basic thing in the Warbond Shop before.
Shorter, more readily accomplished goals, I still get rewards and even vehicles . . it suits me.

I have always advocated that players find the things that they really enjoy doing and say . . . just do that. I think everyone should have a “go to” mode/BR range that they can do just for fun.

But taking a break, finding something relaxing to do in between is never a bad thing.

Finding people/friends to play with that are not negative about the whole thing or just toxic in general may help some too. Hard as that may be in this day and age(everybody’s so mad all the time)

I hope you find your answers and can continue to enjoy the game, regardless of how much it changes . . . because we all know it will . … just the way it is

I remember how my team used to actually be around and not be blind to targets both on screen and on their map, that was a good time. But it’s very clear nobody ever actually uses their map or looks around their surroundings anymore. At worse even they will see a target halfway across the map and shoot at a building or hill repeatedly trying to hit them.

All the issues I have with the game wouldn’t be so bad if the people I’m playing with weren’t so stupid or bots.

Keep playing it’s fun but if you focus on the bad things mainly it won’t be fun

Touch the grass, I’m not joking, I have 2 accounts and it’s purely because I lost my email, and you (mainly CIS) create a bunch of accounts just to write this crap and pretend to be a player from another country over and over again, and only a psychopath can do that. I’ll just answer in case the developer sees this. Remove countries and eras, come up with something new, or, like your Crassaut, you can make a factory, and the crybabies will immediately leave. It won’t take long. There’s Marofan and regimental vehicles (the F-16 is already there and the F-15 is coming soon), and if you have the spare cash, premium vehicles. This is a shooter, and everything for that is already there. All that’s left to do is add a very large map, anime, and battle royale. Everything works fine for a shooter, and now it looks like they’ve increased the shell explosion damage, and now you can destroy a T-series. This is a lie. It’s a normal game like all farm games, and unless you’re a madman who wants everything, your health won’t suffer. P.S. It’s a good bait, but come up with a better story from another account.

I can’t understand most of this but going full anime would honestly save this game at this point, I’ll take anything silly and goofy just to make me feel less dead inside playing this game.

It would end it for most of us . … I would be gone in a flash

I see my post was deleted because I can’t see it here, but again I think 4 seconds is not long enough to have to change BR deployment. Regardless, when you come to the battle for the chargers, the cannon reloading is extended to about 36 seconds, which is de facto devastating.

Sadly I’ve been playing for 10 years and I feel very much the same way. Been feeling this way for a while and with every update with more game breaking bugs and the lack of care towards new missions and game modes is just sad. Just pump out new vehicles and premiums do nothing else and when people complain release more vehicles to distract them it’s just ugh.

  1. I personally limited myself to WW2 vehichles. For example I stopped purchasing vehichles in the German tree after 7.7 vhere the Maus sits at. The only exception is Italy where I would like to progress eventually, to get the modern vehichles. But thankfully, I don’t care too much about modern stuff.
  2. I like to customize my WW2 tanks
  3. Bringing a good low tier tank to higher Brs is can be really fun.

And most importantly.

I try to ignore the existence the Battlepass.
EVERY TIME I try to progress the missions, I’m forced to play vehichles that I don’t even want to. I would rather play vehichles, I’m actually in mood to play, thanks.

+1 😆

I just go back to try top tier again, so now we have ah 64e and mi 28 with FnF missile, can somebody explain me why notoriously i see mi-28 guys with 10+ kills in game and i never saw ah64 stomping in the same way?

Even though I’ve been playing for less than a year I’ve had some times where I stopped playing because I was annoyed by these reasons. It stopped when I remembered it was just a game, and now I just play when I want and stop playing anytime it annoys me. The grind feels much faster as well since then, as now I don’t watch it closely.
So I advise you don’t seek reasons to play and only play when you want to

See, this is what’s called feedback.

OP has realized that the game, down at it’s core, is actually really good.

He however has also realized that it has massive issues, some stemming from the greed of the shareholders and shot callers (such as the ridiculous bugs because they massively lack QC) some from the lack of (or too accurate) historical accuracy.

You can like something and still find things to “hate”. Instead of saying “game’s bad” and quitting, he tries to improve the game by providing feedback.
