I wish that would be true. I have a special task where i need to scout 15 targets and they need to get killed. I had 3 battles where i scounted around 6-10 people almost at same time, right in front of my team. And all i got from that was 1 scout kills. People dont even pay attention to scouting. They are still oblivious.
I still remember when chat was muted for few months thanks to the war and me unable to comuncate that there were enemy helicopters was pure hell.
Doesn’t hurt to do so, whether because the teammates were bad or weren’t paying attention is beyond any resonable control I have. I just play for myself based on what my team is doing.
In most cases people are selfish and don’t care about the team
The problem is that the game leads to folks quitting immediately since they care for kills if they die once they see no reason to respawn. The game is more to blame since it doesn’t incentivize teamwork. There’s a reason why an in-game translator hasn’t been introduced. Heck if the squad marker was implemented for everyone to use it outside of squads it would benefit a lot. That said, communication is none existent. Nor something that can be fixed without it being forced upon people for some time.
The closest to a public “Squad marker” is the Scouting feature however since this is being placed on fewer and fewer vehicles that further support roles in the game such as SPAA’s. Howitzers or even Half tracks. Another problem is people disabling chat something I believe needs to be outright removed and an alternative solution is found. Since it has led to folks focusing on kills. Since teamwork for them is none existent anymore.
Your very generous with your estimations 😂
It’s not rude at all mate. No problem. I have tried Ground Realistic and didn’t really like it. My eyes aren’t great so I find it hard to spot enemy tanks before they spot me. Especially the wallet warriors with their tanks covered in bushes. That’s why I like arcade where the enemy is spotted for you. I only really wanted to play tanks so Air Battles doesn’t really interest me. As you also mentioned, the team mate issue doesn’t really get any better in Realistic and that’s what leads to frustration with the game. I also don’t like the direction in which Gaijin is taking the game, despite the constant feedback given on here regarding the same issues over and over, it seems the devs just ignore the community.
Yeah that all makes sense.
I WISH the average WT player had an 80 IQ. The truth is closer to an average IQ of 8.
One thing I have noticed lately is a distinct lack of other experienced players on my teams. It used to be you’d get maybe a couple or maybe three other players on your team who’d make a difference by getting 3 or more kills as well so you felt you weren’t totally trying to hold back the tide by yourself. Lately you’re lucky to get one other player on your team that has a clue. I can only assume that more experienced players in general are feeling the same frustration and either playing much less, playing another mode, or leaving.
The amount of games lately where I’ve gotten as many kills (or more) than the rest of the team combined is crazy and that really shouldn’t happen. So many team mates will either ODL or die three times while contributing absolutely nothing that it’s gotten to where you pretty much feel like it’s you versus 15 enemies with 14 other players doing nothing but getting in the way. You can see within 60-90 seconds who’s going to win a lot of matches. There’s no fun in that.
You either get players who dont use the map pings or you get someone who spams it.
I usually try to help out my teammates when possible. Unless they spam. If someone is spamming the map ping, i ignore it.
Simple solution: If you want teamplay, join a squadron that does more than just to farm squadron vehicles.
Kind regards.
Still doesn’t solve the problem if you’re looking for a decent challenging match. Seen it time and again where squads absolutely wipe the floor with the opposition team consisting of just a bunch of casual individual players. The only way squading would work, in my opinion at least, is if you have squad vs squad gameplay. In matches where only one side contains a squad, unless the squad players are complete muppets, the match is over in the blink of an eye thanks to the communication advantage that the squad have, and then we’re back to square one. Unless you like just seal clubbing, but it seems pretty pointless.
Personally, I think the only way to make it so people give a toss about the outcome of the match, is to provide a reward or incentive for winning that actually makes people give a damn. I could be wrong though. I guess it could make the one-sided squad matches even worse. This would now put the emphasis back on what Gaijin laughably call “The Matchmaker” to balance teams. Maybe the game is already too far gone.
Speaking for newer players as I remember my own time during those early days, guesstimating where the enemies are on the map from your usual view isn’t immediately clear and just going “they are somewhere in this general direction” helps no one. You can pop the rangefinder (if they have the keybinds set) and cross-reference it to the map grids but that takes time.
To those of you who are struggling with this, go to Controls > Commons > search “Set Target for Squad” and add a keybind. Next time you see the enemy, aim at them and hit the keybind, it’ll pop a marker on the map that you can then manually ping over to let people know precisely where someone is.
The matchmaker takes squads into account. However, if there are no squads wich can be matched against another one, the opposite team will be filled with either smaller squads or none at all.
If i play with a full squad, there are usually full squads in the enemy team aswell. If i play alone or with only 1 other friend and/or squadron mate, i rarely encounter full enemy squads.
Gaijin really need a massive updated to training and control explaining.
I mean this is quality we got for the missile tutorial where you cannot even lock onto the target and fail.
Your still very generous with that 😂
With some of the ways I’ve seen people die or play this game I can’t give them more than 1.5
Okay, but I have a flip side to this. I am guilty of this, but only because I know there is a tank there that I won’t be able to kill/get the first shot off, and I really do need help. But the only reason I do that is because some many people just ignore the map and my pings. If people looked at if more often I’d only mark it once or twice. I mean heck people don’t even respond to radio messages for help normally, unless your flying and all they want is an easy kill.
Also I want to put this out there. I personally try to help people. Whether it be repairing, killing someone or watching their six. But I am going to start giving up on it, because it just gets me killed. I can’t say the number of times that I’ll push to help repair or kill a tank someone needs help with and I finally get over there, then die either to another tank or CAS… Like I try to help, but I’m slowly giving up😂
Spoiler
Sorry for that rant…
Depends. I am not talking about people who will ping a few times. I mean the ones who are pinging a spot as quickly as the game allows them to.
But yeah, you have to fight your teammates half the time anyway.
Ahh okay. I again, have done that when I need urgent help, but my thoughts are, “hey if this guys is pinging it so much and so quickly, maybe he needs help” or “if I long this enough times in quick succession then I’ll annoy them enough for them to come and give me help” Yet usually, I still end up dieing no matter what. The other way is if I’m marking a base in air RB, but that’s only if someone else marks it after I marked it first. The. I mark it a few more times, then actually type something in chat.
Lmao, yeah ya do. They’re just enemies in blue…
