Wikipedia is also known to be… uhm… less than reliable when it comes to details on military vehicles. I have personally seen claims on Wikipedia with a pointer to a source and then when found that source it said something different than Wikipedia…
You need primary or secondary sources, not websites

Basically, yes.
For LWS it’s usually good to first just look at the vehicle visually, those sensors are usually quite obvious.

they usually look something like this and are placed around the outside of the vehicle.

The vehicles that has a LWS IRL gets them in game, it doesn’t have to do with light or MBT etc.
