Why doesn't Warthunder evolve?

The crap ton of vehicles.

maybe simple things like differentiating the spawns and flag capture points of the maps, fixing the map rotation, and if it’s not very but VERY difficult, why must it be such a big job My God, what a hard job, bringing some new maps hahahahaha

Your post demonstrates very clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.

There’s the link to the last update that you can check for every single update they did. (included Map Changes)
There’s processes for a reason.

War Thunder isn’t the type of game that has drastic changes every update. 8 months isn’t a long time for a game that has been out for over a decade.

There is something to be said about the basic gameplay not evolving, but that’s only noticeable over multiple years.

I would be shock if it had not changed in ten years lol.

oh it has . . a LOT as I had mentioned. I think in my time here starting in 2014, I may have missed logging in and playing maybe a total of two weeks because of moving and internet issues . . . that’s it. I have been here playing and watching it grow and change . . . so many changes. I missed the 20 tier system by an Update or two, but have been here to see tanks come in, the number of nations has doubled(and that’s not counting subtrees and one offs and such) naval and helis.
I have finished every researchable vehicle in the game 5 or 6 times, and even after tanks came in(just 2 nations at first, then the US followed by Britain & Japan) and it never ends . . . lol, they just keep adding stuff. I have finished the Russian air tree like 13 or 14 times . . and they just stick in another jet . . to MOCK me! . . . lol, joke . . . I am used to it. I can’t play all the stuff I have, but I still gather it in here and there. The game is MASSIVE at this point. I honestly feel a bit sorry for new players . . . it has to be daunting and overwhelming to look at nowadays. I tip my hat to anyone that can stay with it . . . it wasn’t all that hard when I began, but now . . . . yeow . . . what a chore

You have not played the game long enough to get a sense of the game’s progression. There is not a map rotation system in the game. All maps are available at all times, as long as you are in the correct BR bracket and it is not banned by a member of your squad. And like it has been mentioned before, making maps TAKES TIME, it is not an instantaneous process. They have to consider all vehicles and play styles and balance the maps depending on what they want it to focus on. It is not something that can be done in five seconds.

Here since '19, it has changed, some good, but most map/playability/replayability has been severely destroyed via horrible map decisions. BR compression is bad. +1BR MM at 180k players #22 concurrent game on steam etc… no option for slightly longer wait and 0.7BR.
2024 and still no dynamic spawns. Single spawn maps. Spawn > spawn firing in multiple modes and maps exists today after all the terrible map changes. 9 kills from spawn playing coastal barge once, I didn’t move and killed most of them in their spawn; you can do crap like this in some ground maps too.

Last night I had at least 70% max uptier games from BR4-8. It just becomes unreasonable to expect people to continuously play this scenario. ODL becomes useful here and people wonder why it’s so popular now.

If you came here to enjoy WW2 gameplay, you know, the core of the game and playerbase; everything BR4 and under is now basically considered ‘BR1’ for noobs, only to force you onto smaller and worse and worse maps. Instead of perhaps adding something existing to the game like SBMM for the other Brs over 1… putting squads against each other, instead of all on one team, allowing high level players to face each other instead of beginners, on larger maps than a shoebox.

Changes to Eastern Europe small-medium sizes are a massive negative at all BRs. No one played the ‘spawn to spawn’ firing version and the linear version is absolute aids. I just leave it now as soon as the match starts, often the same for the small, spawn camp from B Holland which is about as bad.

Worst part, unlike many other games, you can’t even pick a map to queue for. Map bans destroy the matchmaking process. Why not make it the opposite, allow everyone to pick a favorite/preferred map and premiums get a second one? Instead of banning, which causes no one in the entire MM that is matched with that person, to play that map. Which means 10 people at your BR, can cause you to never see a map, leading to the ‘same 5 maps every day at this BR’ feel the game has.

TLDR: Feels like very slow development (compare WT to Hello Games/NMS or many other large games), you basically get vehicle packs with small tweaks as updates, almost no new core game mode/features added, Map devolution at the expensive of ww2 players, probably map nepotism has ruined this game for me more than anything else and making it increasingly hard to keep playing.

…or anyone else in the giant matchmaking pool of your BR, causing you to play the same 5 maps over and over at most BRs.

Me quietly awaiting for the “ground vehicles only” mode bro

Correct its the exact same reason Call of duty still sells small changes every once in a while and the masses still shell out money.

I laugh when people claim Cod is still better than Halo. Wouldn’t exactly say both are in good stages.
Despite both being owned by Microsoft now that is. But that’s off topic.

I started playing casually in 2022 and have only got to 8.0 recently. The game seems to evolve in a good pace and maybe even a little to fast than it should be in my opinion

Just because the maps are still bad, the sound is still horrible, the game modes are weak, arcade and fast, the vehicle battle ratings are ridiculous, you can play Germany on the same team as the US in WWII, the maps are small, there is no immersion at all, it doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been evolving since 2013, 95% of the game makes you angry…Although all this is a fact, it is still my favorite game, and I believe these developers have a lot of potential to make it epic.

Yeah Idk halo still feels playable cod is just straight cancer now.

Is this a troll post?

Dude the game has indeed evolved, I have been playing since 2020 and I can tell you it has changed a lot ever since. The one thing that does not really change that much as I would like to, is the introduction of new maps that should be bigger at top br. bracket battles.

It’s playable that doesn’t mean its always enjoyable. WT is sort of in the same category.

What I mean is that there should be more oppositions in terms of being able to move around and be able to flank. Maps that are too open and too linear should be changed or removed.
