Gotta be honest - the amount of times I hear the siren and go to intercept… only for the nuke plane to be flown in a way that I can’t even see the damn thing until it has gone past me. idk, maybe you sweats playing at ULQ have a better time pinpointing. I’m yet to be shot down while carrying a nuke, myself. Saying all that, they still haven’t fixed the sirens in this game so half the time you don’t even hear the nuke coming, until it’s just about dropped on your head… if at all.
The most common scenario where I’ve seen a nuke plane ganked are the earlier nuke planes, and primarily when they just fly straight without dropping alt. Often it’s because they think their defense arms will save them. I.e:

When you take off in a plane, the game doesnt count you as “taken off” until you reach a certain alt.

Makes sense. It’s what I do in a nuke carrier, regardless of the siren. It’s your best chance to blend in with the terrain and you’re not a target for SPAA until you’re already able to drop the nuke. Love the guy I replied to acting like it’s some big skill to hug the deck, lol.
