The ZSU-57-2 was supplied to East Germany in 1957-1961, and retired in 1967-1974. I just cant figure out why Gaijin hasn’t put it in Germany.

I mean germany rank V SPAA is weak with only a wiesel and luchs. Why not add the ZSU-57-2 and folder the luchs under the wiesel?

Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking!
In feburary the wiesel 1A4 was played 600,000 times more than the Luchs A2. Currently the Luchs has no advantage over the Wiesel 1A4 as its bigger and harder to move around. Seems like people are already skipping the luchs so might as well folder it and add a more popular ZSU

Who is using the non Proxy fuze ZSU as SPAA and not a TD?
Also @NatetheGust Finland got the ZSU because Sweden has less 7.x vehicles then Germany and gaijin couldn’t be bothered to add actual unique equipment over copy and paste
The proxy fuze is great on the ZSU, obviously people use it as a TD more but adding it to germany would be ok as East Germany is in the game already and it could help Germany’s 7.3 WR which is sitting at 37.7
Imo id rather see something that’s good as an SPAA fill that role, like a Shilka or something. The ZSU-57 should also come imo, but definitely not as the sole fix for the SPAA gap, that’s just silly imo
Germany’s Gepard and Gepard 1A2 already fill the same role as the two shilkas Russia has. It would be even more pointless to add shilka. Adding ZSU would add more variety in firepower and gameplay
Eh Shilka is 8.0 and there’s quite a few 8.0 vehicles on Germany that I’d like to have a solid SPAA. For 7.7 they should also get a SPAA but not just some crappy SPAA that’s more akin to a TD.
Uptiering vehicles for SPAA is just not something I’d like to do if I can help it personally

first of all, deos germny really need a new SPAA? In my Opinion, no, you all want the ZSU for its guns to do Antiervrything, with the ZSU, its mich harder to aim, Fire rate is low, Luchs and wasel is fine, but you play it like to rat around and try to kill a heavy tank.
Germany’s WR for 7.3 is sitting at 37.7%. Yes adding ZSU would help germany get more ground kills along with the proxy fuze that the wiesel and Luchs are missing. It’s sort of like kill two birds with one stone. There’s no denying it should come as east germany is in the game already. Its a matter of when and since this is the lowest WR in all of the br and all of the nations, I see that it should be added very soon to fix this. Both the Wiesel and Luchs have a kd 0.3 lower than the ZSU so yeah you can play as a rat but there’s no denying it that the ZSU is easier to get kills in.
Tbf I’d say the 7.3 win rate sucks because they lack a proper lineup of ground vehicles not really SPAA. 7.7 imo is a better lineup

I think so, Marder, BMP, M48 are the only TT 7.7 (technically Maus but not just in the TT since it’s seasonal.)
This would be like saying I need more tanks at (insert BR with only 1 vehicle) it’s a valid ask but comparing a different nation as if it had some bias kinda ruins your argument imo.
Gaijin does whatever and ignores trees quite a bit, nothing new to that.
Yes and it would help the 7.7 WR which is is even lower at 37.5. Adding the ZSU would help both 7.3 and 7.7 lineups.
Both Sweden and Russia ZSU has a kd of 0.8 so Id assume Germany can maintain similar stats.

tbh i would have liked more medium tank options in rank 5 Germany its kinda empty with only the leo 1 and M48 in the tree, atleast 1 or 2 more would be welcome
Tbf Sweden has less of a lineup than Germany for 7.x lol
Nobody is playing Sweden 7.x anyways cause it lacks quantity of vehicles, it’s easier to just keep playing 6.7
