I’m aware, but it still does well as a shoot and scoot type tank utilizing sneaky plays. It’d be fine at 7.0 but as I said even right now it does decently.
I honestly think it’s sub-par to other tanks of its type especially because it’s wheeled. You can’t maneuver on the spot like tracked vehicles can giving you a huge turn radius(plus wheels can easily be destroyed). It’s fast, but that’s it. Fox, XM800 and Warrior are all 10x better than it and within it’s BR range

I’ve never shot anything with the T55A dart and wanted more pen or post pen damage. The tanks it fights have less armor in general than Russian tanks.
The only other tanks at 8.3 to get a stab is the M60 AOS, Vickers MK3, STBs. None of these get a dart. All of these have worse armor. It has more mobility than M60 AOS, less than Vickers and STB.
T55A is better than the T62 and T62 is fine at 8.7, it’s not amazing but fits pretty well there.

You should probably check some of the pen values on those APDS shells and compare them to the Soviet early darts you’re referring to. You’ll be surprised.
They also have far more soft stats such as gun depression, reverse speed, traverse speed on hull, turret traverse, reload speed, gun laying rates, etc. The armor difference also rarely matters as the armor is still not good for the BR.

APDS is generally awful it is super wonky/unreliable often shattering or doing no post pen. Can’t believe you are even arguing that APDS is an advantage somehow over APFSDS.
I’m saying it’s a dart… but it’s one of the worst darts in the game and it shows up and performs as such in gameplay. It’s just an “alright” round at the BR. The gun sucks in every other regard basically besides the fact it can fire this dart and the aphe shell

The dart is great for thw br and if u dont want it u can take strong aphe or hit if im not mistaken
Also great mobility and stabilizer in this br which is a big advantge

T-55A bullying? Its APFSDS is dogshit (lackluster angled pen and post-pen damage), the tank’s mobility is quite lackluster too for a medium tank and anything that is not a low-penning autocannon will eat it for breakfast. The T-55AM just a BR above it does everything, but simply much better, even having access to great missles (which also defaults the tank to reload as fast as if the crew is lvl 150 with ace).

This is because of compression, not because the vehicle is bad. The fact that it can face tanks like the T-72 and stuff is the issue, not the vehicle being bad.

Absolutely false. T-55 has very mediocre mobility leaning towards bad. I realize you are referencing forward gear mobility but even in forward gear it is very, very mid for the BR. In reverse? Traversing the hull? Traversing the turret? Gun laying? All complete garbage at the BR.
Stabilizers are commonplace starting from 8.3 onwards.

Nope. It’s because it would be a trash 8.7. You can compare directly to other 8.7s, it loses hard.
Compare to all the m60s and centurions that all over this br u have great mobility and agility

In this br everyone is peper cuz heat and apds exept the russian that can take ap shells with no issues and have the best chances to bounce/volumetric apds and such
Also u have better turret then t54 and the t54 armor is insane
