Why is it that my IFF doesnt work, i have my radar filtered to only show enemies, and yet it still shows allies sometimes, i notice this more in sim with my F-4S, but it does also happen in RB in the F-4S as well.
Sometimes when you scan contacts on the edge of the radar screen it won’t IFF it, rescan or since it is PDV so there is no filtering? So even then you’ll have to operate the normal way and pretend IFF filter is not available.
I have not used a PDV radar in a long time, nor have I used IFF filter ever tbh
They made a change so that you can lock onto friendly targets in TWS and SRC
Oh I didn’t realize you were using the F-4S, for that specifically there is no IFF in PDV HDN

not for me? ive been behind teammates going right at me and not showing up on my radar screen so i think the filter does work, seeing as when it doesnt have the filter on at all, there are lines above the contact showing who is friendly
I started flying the F4E for the first time in a long time and was just using the cockpit radar instead of the UI radar and noticed today the IFF only works wit the UI, not with the actual cockpit display. Very annoying.
