I think the real problem here is the overpressure mechanic which I can say is broken in the game that makes SPH can easily one shot kill any heavy tanks.

War thunder is long past the time of being a historically accurate game it has sacrificed the historical accuracy for balance which is a good move in my opinion

Hmmm, yes. Let’s put the slow, huge SPH’s that have no LRF, no stabilizer with extremely inconsistent ammo at the same BR as tanks that are mobile, have LRFs and stabs and often have extra chemical add-on protection.
What could possibly go wrong?

No, not really, generally speaking even 7.62 can pen their armor. Vast majority have way too long a reload anyway.
Even a locust can 1-1 a 109 with SAPHE.
Volume is generally better than sheer firepower.

Depends on positioning tbh, I almost got a nuke with the ASU-57 at 10.0
I’ve killed a Maus with the Italian M109.
IMO SPH’s are fine, I honestly dont know how players die to them 50% of the time.

You’ve mentioned the Maus as having issues. A Maus is 7.7 - that’s anything but low BR. It’s more like mid-high.
At 7.7 I think the Maus is the only “WW2” tank actually, with some borderliners from U.S tree from what I can see. I’ll concede that uptiers at 7.7 feel the worst I’ve ever experienced so far.
Here’s a quick test for you:
Bring an SPH up to the br you think it belongs
Do you have similar performance in the SPH to the other higher br vehicles in the lineup?
If so you may have a point, otherwise you are the millionth person to complain about post ww2 vs ww2 stuff without proposing a better solution than current
Everyone is talking about how SHP are boring, full of struggle etc… They’re not, they’re one of the most satisfying machines to play in this game actually…
And yea, they can one-shot MAUS and there are a lot of ways to do it, because it’s overpressure model is broken (as a lot of them are actually). Pic bellow.

Relax, I’m just asking for your reasoning and perspective. These can destroy even a MAUS at any range, so it’s easily a 7.7 at the very least. If a million people complained, it should have been moved up a long time ago, unless there are two million people defending it at a lower BR.
