wow, they hid the post
just remenber russian bias are not real
Correct. It isn’t.
this is a game not in real live. Even some of the armor is secret
that were mainly and mostly to the electrical side of the tank.
There is no real proof that SEP modification improves armor.
E.g. SEP means upgrades to fire-control system.
Changes were made with the SE “Block 2” upgrades being applied to the M1A2, though the planned upgrade to the hull was not initially rolled out; but it isn’t established that it occurred, or was canceled. But it is recorded that the Army did in fact retain the intent to field the upgrades when the weight budget permitted. The same report identified that forward projections estimated ~6600lb of possible weight savings likely sufficient to additionally mount the modified Hull array.

Basically even if it wasn’t present with the initial production M1A2 fleet the need to close the gap in armor performance still remained so may have been accomplished with one of the SEP revisions or some other interim refit effort.
So it is only “intended”, but not “installed”? As much as i can see, these are 1990s projects that intended to upgrade armor, i knew about those. But again, there is no evidence it was in fact introduced?
Ever heard of the survivability onion?
I suggest looking at it
It does not apply in a game where most matches consist of 32 tanks brawling on 900x900m areas zooming across city streets and lanes.
“Don’t be there, don’t be acquired”… really?
Good luck “not being there” or “not being acquired” when you have to take A at Advance on the Rhine lmao
So yeah; in War Thunder, what matters is being able to actually take a shot once in a while when you INEVITABLY get shot.
It does
“dont get shot”
You solve that with proper positioning and awareness
Armour is and has always been a later resort for survival compared to just being in the better position
Having to rely on armour is just gambling whether the enemy actually knows how to get past said armour or not
Again… as if those things were possible in most of the current maps and missions.
Unless you intend to spend the matches hidden behind a rock at the edge of the map, of course. Peak gameplay.
Chinese Abrams’s performance isn’t a proof of anything lmao. Chinese Abram had like 60 something % win rate when it first came out, and it keep dropping closer and closer to USA’s ~43% every month. Not to mention Chinese Abrams wasn’t here back when newer SPAA wasn’t a thing and Kh38MT was raping ground targets and dragging US win rate through the mud.
Chinese Abram really have it good cuz top tier is somewhat playable now and Russia fantasy tech isn’t ruling top tier as hard as before anymore
The current Ground RB gameplay is focused around tiny maps with very little space to breathe and packed with 32 players, most engagements happen at point blank range for which reaction time and armor coverage tend to be the most influential elements.
Shouldnt US Abrams winrates than improve now?
Nothing concrete, but similarly there is no evidence that the program was canceled, either.
So whats the moaning about exactly? Since RU still has the same 38MTs it had before, just other nations got the same OP weaponary, SPAA sort of eased up with the CAS spammers, turret ring is still an issue etc etc…
The problem is that the other nations only got those vehicles because there was no fair counter to russian cas before. The problem is that every update they add the counter to one problem but then create several more
At this point I think it’s a matter of balancing and even if a few years from now more Abrams material is declassified and we have confirmation of hull upgrade elements, I doubt Gaijin would backtrack. I just hope the SEPV3 armor upgrade won’t be a tiny irrelevant amount.
Absolutely! They also give you a premium option for the said OPness shift so you can grind better and faster for ONLY 79,99€… Its a careful and deliberate step they took knowing full well what it will cause because it wil BRING A TON OF MONEY which it did ofc…
