Why do you get punished for capturing a base with your teamates?

I was the first to get on the capture point, but then my teamates came. After the base was captured i only got 3k sl instead of the full 9k.

You get a reward based on how much of the capture you contributed to. So if several players enter all at the same time it’s equally split (though i think it’s a bit higher rewards than just straight split but i’m uncertain). If a player enters and helps with only the last 10% they only get that small part of the reward.

also, dont leave the cap point before its fully captured. you will still get some reward if you die on the cap while capping it, but if you leave the cap before its fully captured by your team, you wont receive any reward.

So you get more rewards if you cap alone which makes people avoid teamplay

I would argue the opposite. Had it been that everyone gets the same then why would anyone go in and help you cap and risk getting shot at when they could just zoom in last second and just touch the cap for full rewards with less risk. Why should the player who risked very little get the same reward as the player who stood there for the entire time defending the point and risked a lot more?

why not just make it be based on when you got onto the cap

I think the time-based rewards are alright, it’s just that full-time rewards are split, making it better to actually go alone.

You are actively punishing teamplay and deducting rewards for no good reason. There’s no point in splitting capture point rewards and it honestly feels mean spirited to do this.

Bc what happens is that people spawn a super fast light tank to go before everyone else and cap the point. Or they push you off to get all the reward.

Because that’s not what’s happening, really. Even if two people enter at the exact same time. Right from the start. Both get a massively reduced reward solely because there are two people.

If you wanted the outcome you are talking about. Players would get rewarded FOR HOW MUCH of the capture they were present. Not how much of it they contributed directly to.

I.e someone who entered at the beginning would get the full amount, while someone entering at the last second would only get the % they were at the capture point for. Instead, right now, everyone gets massively punished. Because even someone else entering at the last moment cuts off a whole step from the person who was there the entire time.

All valid points actually, so i can agree that it would be best to have it based on amount capped but not dependant on number of players capping at the same time then.

This can be argued is for the teams benefit in the match, the faster a point is capped the more tickets it bleeds for the enemy before they cap theirs. What it however doesn’t benefit is the overarching grind in general for the players in the match. So bit of a double edged blade that one.

This is an issue that can be reported and is against the rules to do.

That’s basically the way it should be. Get the reward based on how long you were on the cap. Which is already happening anyway. So further dividing it by people is what’s mean spirited and makes it feel as if they’re just looking for a way to further punish players and take SL/RP from them.

If i get first and cap the whole zone im expecting the full reward, not it to be splitted if someone comes at 50%

Hows is being rewarded in proportion to the amount you capped NOT “what you deserve”?

If i kills enemys and manage to clear A, then i start capping the whole zone and the reward for capturing 100% its 10K SL. once i finish capturing im expecting my 10K SL, but what happens when mid capture (lets say, 50%) a random teammate who didnt participated on the clear or fight of the zone, gets into capture at 50% to 100%

The 10KSL gets split , meaning i would get less for doing MORE
And he would get free half of the cap reward for just driving into it.

And to be honest fuck that.

Everyone should get what deserves, ZERO SPLITTING

I should get my 10K SL
And he should get 5k SL
Simple as that

Because if you stay on the cap from start to beginning you contributed to 100% of the capture. Which isn’t being rewarded right now. If someone enters even at the last moment your reward get slashed as you can’t get the final tier.

If 3 tanks cap, the risk of being the first to die is 1/3.
1/3 the risk, 1/3 the reward.

If 3 tanks cap and you get bombed three tanks die. Sorry, but that’s insane logic that doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. Not even sure why you’d defend cutting SL/RP rewards for people, as if Gaijin wasn’t already stingy enough.
