Why do we have trees that are 150FT tall

Someone should make a bug report

You think this will ever get fixed? Ruins multipathing for top tier.

hope so its almost immpossible to stock grind we need flatter maps

new maps dont get trimming trees need to be below 80ft atleast or just raise multipath just a bit as its very hard in stock jets even with chaff you cant BVR due to lack of missiles

I would say we need more maps with proper hills, you can still get killed while multi pathing from high angle shots or splash damaged by the missile hitting the ground. Actually being able to use mountains as hard cover is the best bet. Problem is most maps are too flat to actually use terrain for cover, but just bumpy enough that you keep dropping out of multi path thanks to all the tiny valleys, it’s the worst of both.

we need a flat map with a with a few 500ft mountains but otherwise flat

Now mix giant trees with clouds at surface level…

Is there really no one who points out the abnormality of being able to use MP? Seriously?

what do you mean

Multipathing in warthunder is, greatly exaggerated. Even as tall as the trees are, we have more distance to them then we’d have to the ground if multipathing were accurate.

yeah but it keeps the game balanced and fair in some scenarios notching is not a option it allows planes with worse weapons to get close within range to compete otherwise without multipath basically everything with fox3 would need to be top tier

for example a SU-33 vs a SU30MKK he can use multipathing to dodge the R77 radar missiles and close the gap allowing the R27ER to do its work

otherwise without multipathing you people could just spam FOX-3s and keep you on defense the whole fight

Oh yeah, I know. Honestly I’m all for leaving the multipathing height as is, or at most just moving it down like 10 meters or so. I was just explaining what they meant.

oh yeah thanks :D

Umm. What’s wrong with that?
Vehicle/missile performance should come first and then BR should be determined accordingly, not the other way around. The theory goes that multipath is first changed to what it should be, and then if a problem occurs, or if it is predictable, the BR is changed to solve the problem.
The other way around is not possible, meaning the current option of having BR first and then exaggerating multipath to mask the problem is not possible.

BRs are too compressed to remove multipathing. IR only jets would become useless at 12.3+. Jets with crappy RWRs become useless instantly.

That’s right, so we’ll decompress the BR.
Is there any other way?
If you say the current way should exist, would you also agree that, for example, since IRCCM holders are compressed and non-CCM holders are oppressed, the CCM ability should be removed, and the missiles should be modified so that planes without flares don’t have to use flares so they aren’t oppressed?
For example, the Zero fighter, which was originally at the same BR, was too strong against the F6F, so instead of raising its BR, it should be nerfed ignoring source to keep it at 3.3?
F-14 vs MiG23, Me264 vs B-17, whatever.
They couldn’t be nerfed ignoring source, so their BR went up.
The same should be true for the Fox3s. Never. Not nerfed ignoring source.

Required to do this before removing multipathing, not after.

Instead of doing them at the same time?
To be honest, I think that MP should be deleted first so that I can get back the many kills that were made to disappear…

but it literally almost never happens so we can only continue you on with this system

I’m bumping this because I am beyond frustrated of those stupid trees, I understand you want to give the impression of dense forests but literally nobody playing ARB cares about the look of the maps, and to be brutally honest War Thunder looks pretty bad and always has, nobody plays this game for its looks, so lowering the height of trees and dropping that dense forest look? Yeah nobody gives a fuck, PLEASE stop putting in trees that are 50 meters tall!

It looks stupid! Especially on maps like Pradesh where buildings that are 3 storeys high are dwarfed by ginormous oak trees and pines the size of a small skyscraper, JUST STOP IT.
