I am getting REAL tired of being sniped out of the sky by some SAB-105 or other Tiny ground attacker that is a better fighter than most other planes at its tier, While I’m stuck spawning on the ground in planes BUILT to go after bombers and Fighters at HIGH Altitude, yet i can’t even get to 4000m before i get accosted by every other plane under the sun.
Give Interceptors back their air spawns, for the Love of the snail. its not fair that these planes get stuck on the ground, when they can’t fight back against other fighters that out perform them in every metric.
The Swift and Javelin BOTH were built as Interceptors, they were meant to INTERCEPT.
The Dumbing down of the Aircraft designations, and how they spawn has been one of the worst decisions yall have made, EVER.
There was NOTHING wrong with the old System, Where each aircraft was properly classified and spawned as such. Now the only things that get to spawn in the air are tiny Trainer planes, and bombers basically.
Purpose built jet interceptors getting an airspawn will just make them OP, causing them to either stay OP and harm the BR, or go up to a BR where they will not perform good.
Do you really want an F-104A to have an airspawn?
Gaijin also removed airspawn for rank 6+ planes.
Either way, an airspawn should be done on a plane to plane, rather than class to class basis. An F-117 should have one, an F-84G shouldn’t.
Besides the fact it gave interceptors a MASSIVE advantage.
This was fine during the prop era because most interceptors were designed to slowly but steadily climb to alt while taking their time, hence why they’re generally slow, because they’re heavy and fat, where as fighters are generally lighter and can climb better but don’t have the endurance of a interceptor.
Jets on the other hand completely flip this around, where as before you had hours from seeing the enemy flight to the time they’re over their target, now you had an hour or so at the most, and sometimes 20 minutes before the speedy bois were over your head.
Now if we take the reality that most interceptors are faster and can climb better than fighter jets, and do what you want to do. Suddenly every interceptors is a few km’s above your head every game. Gaijin COULD change these plane classes but I have a feeling the community won’t like it either.
Also if you’re struggling against a saab 105, that’s an actual skill problem because it’s not a good jet, only got 2 outboard gun pods with limited ammo, and two crappy aim9bs.
