this is forum, you are free to express your ideas as you see fit. I just understood your comment in a way that if person doesnt have 3.0 K/D they cant speak about their experience.
issue not limited to 34/85s.
i take that you want to say that improvements introduced by ZIS are insignificant when compared to D5T and as such do not warrant higher BR, to which i say agree. Thats just gaijin being gajin.
it is significantly harder to have good stats in bad vehicle than in good or mid one. If 34/85s were bad, it would logically be harder to perform well in them.
even if you want to imply that i am worse overall player (our overall stats are similiar), i still managed to reach 2.0 KD. While as not as impressive as yours, its far from being bad.
Statistics mean nothing when Germany players atleast before Cold War vehicles still play literally like the stereotype they’re. There’s a reason just 4 players in Tiger 2s locking in could still probably defeat a whole enemy team locking in.
6.7 is a premium blackhole i dont really enjoy playing 5.7-6.0 since BR changes that moved a lot of stuff up that was above 6.7. Same deal with 9.3 and 9.7 being sucked up to the 10.3/7 blackhole.
Its fine at 5.7, compression and premium blackholes are the problem.
Uptiers hurt a lot more in ww2 BRs where heavy tanks exists and armor plays a much bigger role without the prescence of lrf, high mag optics, modern gun handling and accuracy, and standardized weakspots the are easily penned by any round round within 1br.
Problem is, a whole BR below, there’s literally the T-34-57 which can do literally the same while having better reload, better acceleration and being smaller overall in exchange for post-pen damage and angled pen. I even uptiered it back then to 5.3-5.7 and it was just as useful. I literally don’t see the point of the T-34-85 being so high, the M4A3 (76) can literally do the same thing a T-34-85 can do, but almost always better.
Statistics don’t lie about being useless. Again, how the hell do you even want to use statistics when more than half the German players don’t even make use of the tanks’ armor and/or barely even look around to counter flankers? Literally just pre-aiming at a flanking T-34-85 is enough to defeat it, it doesn’t even have any kind of smoke to somehow counter those who notice it.
For example, if you post the record of T3485, saying that it is a good vehicle and may not have any other intentions, but I am obviously thinking more about this topic. For example, I think you may be using the record to create a sense of authority, making it easier for people to believe that T3485 is strong, indicating that I am exaggerating. At this time, I happen to have a more authoritative record, and your viewpoint conflicts with mine, so I have to refute it.
Because from the very beginning when you use data to explain something, it already means that others can equally use data to refute you
im not. if i didnt want to talk about 34/85s performance, id say what i want to say and wouldnt respond to you further. this conversation has been civil so far and i have no intention to change that.
anyone can check performance of any player easily, its no secret. i am not posting my performance to make people believe 34/85 is strong, im posting them to let other readers know that i actually played them and what experience i base this opinion on.
if i said 34/85s are okay but had terrible stats in them, that opinion wouldnt be correct, no?
So this is a misunderstanding, and I won’t bring up these things again.
Although I don’t know why Gaijin deliberately suppressed USA and USSR, I know that every time I play T3485 and encounter enemies that I can’t defeat with all my strength, I always feel angry and have a feeling of ‘this is unfair’. When I use German tanks to kill all directions, this feeling turns into a deep sadness. My novice friend just played USSR 5.7 and is complaining about why the opponent of T3485 is so strong. This is why I came to the forum to explain the significance of my point of view
T-34-85 (ZiS-S-53) is a legendary tank in War Thunder as well as in real life. Currently I find it to be powerful at 5.7: there are numerous points to be considered such as 5 crew, good mobility, good maneuverability, high traverse speed. Its shell has relatively good angled performance (relative to its flat penetration), as well as post-penetration damage. The armour is lacking at 5.7, but the angled armour allows for occasional ricochets if also angled horizontally.
Yes, if German mid-tier players became competent, the vehicle would be massively inadequate for 5.7. However, this has not happened yet.
It’s maybe not that mobile but it has medium tank armor and a more powerful gun.
But the topic is stupid anyway. There’s plenty of tanks that are outmatched against others but can easily kill plenty of other vehicles they are going to see.
How one vehicle fares against another is completely irrelevant.
Only the actual performance in a battle matters, and that is not based on 1 vs. 1 fights against full BR higher vehicles.
As long as you play Germany 5.7 normally, you won’t encounter IS3 and T29. Besides, it’s not difficult for Tiger tanks to defeat IS2 with 6.7BR, but it may be a bit difficult to encounter T26E5 and T26E1-1 with USA, which is why I say USSR is worse off than USA
Isn’t it? USA vehicles such as m26, ussr vehicles such as is2, t44, etc. have been improving BR recently. The funny thing is that German Tiger King P has improved br, but Tiger King H has not.
As long as there are fun vehicles discovered by gaijin for USA and USSR, they will be immediately promoted to higher BR, such as the recent KV1e, KV1s, Pei8, etc.while there are very few German vehicles, which leads to the fact that the German vehicles in the game actually have the best vehicles from World War II
There are also new players of USSR, but they are currently in an unfortunate situation where they rarely have the opportunity to compete with Tiger while driving T3485
You are not supposed to be able to fight a vehicle 1.0 entire BR above your own on equal terms, that is the entire point of the BR system. Same with 4.7 vehicles like the Churchill 7 or T14 being unable to fight the T-34-85 on equal footing
The significance of ‘br’ is to separate vehicles of different strengths to avoid encountering opponents who are much stronger than oneself. For example, both the M26 and the Tiger King H are at 6.7, but the Tiger King H not only has much stronger firepower than the M26, but also has much better protection than the M26
