Why do russians get apfsds at 8.3?

that is correct yes, but not what you wrote before. it is what you ment, but not what you wrote.

you don’t follow the rules to a letter and i can easily prove it by ,linking back to earlier posts. you don’'t have warnings because people block you and/or flag you instead of reporting you properly with evidence to a moderator. evidence which i have and will use very soon if you don’t better your behavior very fast.
i have been extremely patient with you and have had long civilized diskussions with you trying to help you get better, but it isn’t working. it takes 3-4 days and then you are back to the same habits again. its enough. stop.

no, posts that derail the subject and/or start talking about irrelevant facts not pertaining to the diskussion and/or start creating camps of “us vs them” that derails into personal attacks between others without name-calling themselves. they are also a VERY big issue. and many of these YOU do.

AGAIN! NOT OTHER PLAYERS, YOU! AND ONLY YOU!

There is no “we”.

you don’t, you VERY often misrepresent them by either miscommunicating, missing word (or deliberately twisting it, an option i’m hesitant to use but is seeming more and more likely the more i see your posts).

he shouldn’t have to. you should be clear from the start.

I’m pretty sure I wrote penetration and not plate thickness…
Cause if I meant plate thickness I would say “this penetrates a 142mm plate at 60 degrees” which isn’t as helpful as saying “this penetrates 284mm” of material, which is the default context of the statement.

This is a topic about APFSDS, Soviets having 3BM25, and its performance.
So speaking about its penetration is on-topic and always relevant.
Posts that claim otherwise are posts that aren’t on topic.

This game… Balanced? Where??? Have you ever played Italy? It is literally the nation with the most overtiered vehicles to be absurd in some cases.

The only nation with balanced vehicles is russia, they will never increase russia’s BR, just look at S238 it’s still at BR 10.0, a vehicle that can safely stand at BR 11.3 and still be strong

What? I haven’t had any issues with Italy’s BRs.
In-fact, the only one I get confused by is M47 105/55 just cause it’s an M60 at 0.3 lower BR.

And no, Strf 9040C and 2S38 would be far worse at 11.3, on top of there being an already vastly superior tank at 11.3 in USA called HSTVL.

Meanwhile T-55A is 8.3. ;) It should be of course, just pointing it out.

just writing “it penetrates 284mm” without anything else means that the round penetrates a 284 mm thick plate at 0 degrees. or that it penetrates a 284mm thick plate. that is why “equivalent” is so so so important.
and “this penetrates a 142mm plate at 60 degrees” is INFENITLY more useful as that is the already calculated value, what you are doing when calculating the cosine value is creating a value of equivalent pen that is basically ONLY useful as a comparison with FURTHER calculations. as in how it compares to 0 degrees and how that ratio compares to other rounds. the value itself has no use and is a steppingstone.

well yes, but i wasn’t talking about this thread exclusively as evident by both your and my use of general terms.

which ones do you find overtiered

But why do you always forget the OTOMATIC should not be at such a high BR.
Whereas for Italian aircraft the situation is much worse.

Well yes, I support removing its APFSDS and moving the OTOMATIC down to 9.7/10.0.
However, with the APFSDS it’s stuck ~11.0 sadly. Having OFL 105 F3 equivalent APFSDS is bad for its BR.

Just as Object 120 having APFSDS makes it 8.0 instead of 7.3.

There is also to cisider Ariete without its real composite armour, more than 60 tons of air alone, but he still stands at a high BR.

EDIT: However, OTOMATIC has the number of APFSDS limited to 12, so even with its APFSDS it does not deserve to be at such a high BR. The only shells that need to be removed from the OTOMATIC are the SAPOMs that never had them
