Why do planes in Air RB need spawn protection

It’s already that they can J in and out making them untargetable, you also need to give them spawn protection immediately after coming back in?

I have never seen a military base without protection…

This has nothing to do with SPAA emplacements. This has to do with the game giving the plane immunity to fire while it respawns.
