Why do CAS players so vocally oppose any suggestions

Anyway, does anyone know when random spawn stopped being random?

If you want to talk about that issue, make your own thread cause that has nothing to do with this discussion.

Behave, do you think 90% of whzt is being said in this thread is on topic znd the same for any thread, i dont see you gobbing off on them, and you @ULQ_LOVER can do 1 as well

“When required” is too late. You can’t teleport in a AAA or a fighter just when needed. You need to spawn in it and position yourself, waiting for enemy to spawn (IF they spawn and hoping to be the one killing the enemy), sacrificing all the score you could get spawning in another tank (or cas) and playing against the the ground forces.

Providing air cover is unrewarding and boring, thus no one is doing that. Make it at least somewhat rewarding and more people will be willing to provide air cover for others.

This is something I agree with, the point at which CAS is at its strongest is before CAP or SPAA can be spawned in and sitting in a SPAA at start semi-AFK waiting for something to maybe spawn isnt the most fun. Though the solution i’ve always thought that would be best is to add a scouting drone to all SPAA above about BR8.

At least they can be scouting whilst waiting for something to spawn.

unfortunately drones does not provide any score.
I think there should be a system, similar to the active scouting, that get you an handful of points for hits scored by friendly units that sit 10 meters (or whatever number) from you while in a AAA.

That could work, though that would mean the SPAA would have to stick close to tanks. Leaving them very vulnerable

One thing that would be nice is for WW2 we got reconnaissance crafts. For WW2 the US gets the Grasshopper however their CAS Recon plane is Bazooka Charlie. With its 4 recoilless rifles. Stuff like this would be neato. However for recon planes their defense would be the pilot dueling one another with whatever pistol they were issued with.

Oh, I have another question for @LetumDeAstralis :

Why do tank-purists think that their topic is so important that it justifies pushing any other topic in the RB section in the background, thus denying the community the space to discuss anything else RB related?

Is it selfishness? Is it ignorance? Or is it maliciousness?

I remember @MattS93 had a similar stance (I will not claim he was identical or claim to speak for him)…but I do know he later took to using SPAAs and did not have too strong of objections with CAS after using SPAAs.

Having watched over many years (and correctly forecasted things in January 2018), the single largest cause of TO’s failure to materialize is the overzealous way TO advocates pitch it…they’re way too abrasive against other WT players.

Many are friendly to TO…but TO advocates won’t hear it or take ‘yes’ for an answer.

Lmao, this sounds like the talk of an ‘imminent German victory’ arising out of the Berlin bunker in late April 1945 too. It’s about as serious too, lol

Thousands of players play WT because it has CA gameplay. Those players want AFs and GFs in one battlefield fighting together…yet apparently they want to halve that experience out of the blue? Be serious please…

TO hasn’t ever even seen a serious effort at a TO rally in Custom Battles, so this grandiose hype about it is simply funny.

Nobody has ever said there is ‘zero’ interest in TO, but this hype about TO over RB GFs is simply fantasy…it could well be part of what made Gaijin abandon their 2019 bid around TO.

When required is me being careful with language and being more accurate. However we have switched subjects mid discussion. You say I do not support my teams or use SPAA enough to do as such, I simply said I use CAP (after you said my stars do not back up my position).

If you wish to discuss how useful or interesting CAP is then sure. Fact is I did and heavily at times, and I enjoyed stoppingvthe aerial flank or at least putting it off; not every engagement is expected to be 100% successful, just how I have turned someone’s supposed easy CAS time into a chunk of SP missing.

Highest return in SL for kills by far. Helps a side stop CAS being over dominant.

Not boring if as people believe CAS dominate and are always up as this means always targets, or more realistically land once you get rid of what is up, land, rejoin battle on ground with no ticket loss or repair cost while others on my team can adapt to the situation just like I have.

It already is so this begs the question: does reward really matter? Because people often ignore it.

And remember that CAS costs more SP than CAP that costs more than SPAA. So if enemy has CAS up and we expect it to happen early then CAP and SPAA are much easier to spawn in than the enemy CAS. So when enemy CAS is up there is no excuse for a team not to have some form of defence up as ,apart from maybe the quickest cap n fly rushers, someone is bound to have been taken out and they can adapt to the situation just like anyone with a brain should.

And it would all work if there was a place for people who just want to play tanks as at the moment You are placed in random team consisting of people who want different things.

No need to degrade people. You do it on almost every post.

It is a TV reference to a joke that dogs cannot look up, from a show called Spaced who made films Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. The joke being that dogs can.

I am English so “dog” does not need to be a negative. I love dogs.

I was refering to your point of “looking up” which I agree with.

If you find all my posts degrading then I would try again. You are obviously taking them the wrong way as I bite back not bite first.

That is not was being discussed, however. We are talking current GFRB and regarding a previous exchange which is centered around the point of winning matches and multipliers.

The part I have quoted was about team, so I have made a comment about the team.

The most You are going to get is by getting the most kills, as Gaijin said:
“As War Thunder is primarily a PvP focused game and getting kills is the ultimate goal to win battles”
and remembering changes to win/lose it doesn’t matter as much as it did.

Yes, but it still is more if you win than lose. Of course you can earn in many ways, but whatever you do the reward for winning is still higher than losing; what you achieve per match obviously varies. I do not see the issue with trying to win a match.

To win a match (or be certain of winning it) You need to stay in said battle till the end.

The most kills (which give You the most RP/SL) can be obtained not near the end of the game but rather in first half of it. Not to mention capping zones etc.

There is a bigger chance You will earn more RP/SL by simply moving into the next battle than by staying in the old game.

No you don’t.

And?

Chances are chances, the reality varies, especially at the 30,000 matches mark where you would have observed a LOT happening.

I played to play, not to be the MOST efficient grinder but still rather efficient. When you have spaded what you like and hit the point you have no interest in it is nice to play for a win.

Of course if you like the current all go one cap, ignore the others, face smack until one side is steamed, resulting in even narrower maps, then sure go ahead. This seems to have fueled and be fueled by the “moving onto next game efficiency”.

We play(ed) for very different reasons and it shows.

If one is grinding RP/SL what is important to him is how to get most RP/SL in the smallest amount of time - It is by just simply playing one vechicle and gathering the most kills, not winning the game per say.

If one is playing ‘for fun’ it varies around what he understands as ‘fun’. For one it is getting the most kills, for other it is winning a match and for a 3rd person it will be goofing around. There is no point talking about it, so that is why people focus on first (Grinding).
