The argument surrounding this particular vehicle (oplot) is not the same as the VT-4, since Oplot’s main problem is Pakistan never used it, but only on trial. However as sweden has the precedent of getting vehicles from just trails this is less solid of an argument. The main issue of VT-4 and Abrams is more of a geopolitical one, and also partially historic, as to why Chinese players objected VT-4 to Japan so strongly. Abrams wise most people simply hold it as a thing that should hold even, China gets M1A2T only if Japan gets VT-4 simultaneously. Although it could be said ROCA isn’t China’s subtree.

Because thailand use the vt4, and thailand is already a sub tt in japan.
Singapore is not in the chinese tt yet so whats your point?

leo2sg was datamined for china, people threw a fit, it was cancelled. vt4 was datamined for japan, people threw a fit, it was cancelled. seems pretty fair to me add leo2sg back to china and vt4 can goto japan

well the nation for the vt4(thailand) was already in game which wasnt the case for the leo2sg.
and the leo2sg was canceled bcmost players didnt understand why china is getting a leopard2 to begin with(adding only for copy paste balance) and chinese players didnt want it bc they fear if the leo2 is ingame their toptier tanks do not get bugfixes. atleast this is my understanding why the leo2sg is viewed this badly since there was pretty much only talk about adding a leopard(could be wrong tho with this one).

You know what’s worse, pakistan never bought the oplot.
It participated in a trial, they instead bought the vt4 as cheaper option.
This means gaijin is now adding vehicles which participated in a nation’s trails to please chinese player…

Do you realise every tech tree will have every vehicle if trials are used as a reason to add something to a particular tech tree. The game is already headed to a bad direction with the recent double standards…

I mean why would the Leopard 2SG be in China? Neither China and Singapore have anything to do with each other militarily unlike Japan and Thailand.
So i can understand players making an argument out of it because it doesn’t make sense. Gaijin makes some of the worst proposals/decisions like giving Sweden trailed vehicles (made exceptions for them), however it doesn’t mean we should continue this path. Unless you of course want every type of vehicle or jet in the US or Russia.

Tbh as a thai person i dont mind the vt4 not going to japan (its a pretty mid tank as of today) if they not going to buff it.
But chinese does not need a leopard 2 and the oplot this is clearly a double standard and its not even about politics.
What china could use right now is a buff like spall liners and reload buff.
I would love to see my “investment” of the al khalid to pay off it self ofc like getting Abrams (in which china should get via taiwan) but adding a leopard 2sg and the oplot is just way too much.

Singapore is majority ethnically Chinese. At this point there is nothing wrong with giving every nation export/captured/trialed stuff. Russian abrams? US T80? Why not?
