it makes no sense that the leopards cant aim over the back when irl they have better gun depression over the back then t72-90s do irl
Gaijin has a weird understanding of the NATO hump
That’s how they work IRL:
There is a safety mechanism in the fire control system that stops the barrel from going lower than a certain angle in the back arc. IRL this can be overridden by disabling the fire control system but that is not a mechanic that is in the game (this would also turn of some other functions like the stabilizer for example). At least that is how i have understood it to work.
Doesn’t get better than that. ^^
Well they put the enemy spawn in front of you so map design is clearly bias to NATO tanks ;p
I do actually have video from conflict that should not be named when Leopard 2A4 is engaging enemies behind him while moving and the gun is fully stabilized.
Since then I started to believe it was just gaijin attempting to nerf it.
Well, this is just a simple artificial nerf to balance the generally low depression of Soviet tanks. I find it funny that people complain about the low depression of Soviet tanks because many maps have uneven terrain, which disadvantages them, but nobody mentions that on city maps (which practically all maps have) a Soviet tank can stand still in a street and, without needing to rev its engine, cover its entire 360°, while a NATO tank would have to move the vehicle and make noise with its engine to target an enemy approaching from behind.
