They will, cause currently I think only T-72B3 has the turret armor to stop some darts, I could be wrong there.
If that B3 comment is wrong, then WT currently has no tanks that can frontally stop darts outside the breech area.
With T-90M & 2A7+ those would be two strong tanks.

At least in Leclerc’s case there’s an active group with evidence to improve armor.
At the end of the day, all 10 will still suffer. Pretty sure a 140/152 dart is gonna never bounce on double plates of Ariete or Leclerc.
Most top tier tanks turret cheeks can stop DM53,
T-72B3 turret armor sits in the middle, can penetrate if you don’t hit ERA

Gajin allows it to have better frontal armor, cause its not a Nato country. Third country with frontal armors is China. And thats it.
I’ve been playing a lot of 10.0-11.0 and personally, I find the armor survivability balance to be good there. Threats found there match well with the armor found there. Not counting moments of gaijin rng.
Top tier has regressed when it comes to survivability, shells are now too powerful for the armor that currently is on most tanks.
ariete can’t suffer from the 140/152 addition because it’s already butter against 120/125, that was my point…
and pretty much the same applies for all mbt’s hulls, except of course russian ones and the strv122
but who cares about the 122 anyway, this thing is super rare
It has better armor because the Swedish trials doesn’t allow for interpretation. They clearly state the protection values of the Strv 122, it’s even underperforming. A kornet should not be able to penetrate its turret cheeks

The wedges have quite low modifiers last I checked - most of the protection comes from the actual armour underneath… which is underperforming (massively against CE - 0.4x modifer on 2A5+ tanks), fx;
This spot according to the Swedish graphs should provide 1679mm vs CE;
This spot should provide 1475mm vs CE;
And this 1720mm vs CE;

Have you tested the underneath armor? Iirc they provided 600mm ke. I haven’t yet, would be nice to know how effective the base armor is.
CE is way underperforming
Months ago - they stop DM53 at PB range (even if it’s fired a bit off-centre). Actual effectiveness is probably hovering around ~680mm against KE (praise be D-technology armour… even though it’s underperforming vs CE).
I’m assuming it’s 600mm when hit at a flat angle, that’s how gaijin normally models armor, that’s why the Abrams is around 650-700 when Swedish trials says 600, hit flat it’s 600mm ke.
It’s not D tech armor, it’s C tech.
C tech is said to have 600mm ke in the turret and 400 in the hull.
D tech iirc was said to improve that by 20% for the hull at least.
This is also where the Strv 122 and is D tech avaible for the composite or only appliqué armor discussion comes in
