Yes, but the gun handling and mobility might be good for Leo2A4 because theyre much better than most of its contemporaries, but if you take that same mobility and gun handling and put them at higher BR, where they become mediocore because your contemporaries have similiar mobility and gun handling, advantage of versatility becomes less prominent in lieu of the fact you can have tanks just as versatile, but with better firepower/armor or both.
Yes and no. There’s a lot of tanks that have one part but not the other, and a lot of tanks that excel in both parts. So its usually worth breaking down into its parts
T-80BVM for example, great general mobility, poor reverse

You dont need to highlight individual parts of mobility/gun handling if they are all good, you only really need to highlight them if they are bad.
Like I dont need to explicitly say that Leo2A4 has good mobility and reverse speed when reverse speed is part of mobility and its also good.
But, if we were talking about BVM gun handling, gun depression needs to be mentioned because it is indeed bad.

It used to have a much better matchmaking when it was at 10.3, super nasty when going full downtier, these days it doesn’t feel the same nomore. Recently I just crewed the vickers mk7 I quickly noticed how good is the turret protection of this thing, it also carry better ammunition and most importantly it doesn’t have the basket, yet. Only complain is this thing look really cheap and ugly as hell, it does everything else better than the Leopard 2A4

To put it differently, Leo 2A4CAN being versatile isnt such big advantage when its contemporaries are just as versatile but have something over it, be it protection or firewpower.
Versatility isn’t always about direct advantage, its about the tanks ability to perform well in a wide range of situations
Yes, but, lets say, hypothetically.
Youve got current Leopard 2A4CAN, and gaijin adds another separate Leopard 2A4CAN but this time with MEXAS beak and DM53, bringing its pen to 600mm+; and puts this new LeoCan at the exact same BR as the old one.
You now have two exact same tanks when it comes to mobility and gun handling, but one has better armor and firepower. Theyre both versatile, but the new LeoCan is just better.

Honestly, they would play almost identically. The extra pen doesn’t really come into it, KE-W is more than enough. Even something like 3BM46 with 532mm of pen is enough for top tier.
There’d be the occasional borderline shot, but those are the borderline shots you purposely avoid with any shell
And the MEXAS external composite is unlikely to provide that much KE benefit
People see the “beaks” on even the current 2A4M and tend to avoid shooting them anyway

Yes the playstyle would be exactly the same but one would be simply better due to having same kit but better in some regards.
Anyway, im not saying Leo2A4CAN is bad by any means, id just say it isnt 12.0 good.
