No one said you South Australians are perfect, indeed (this whole topic isn’t really that serious). But just know, I feel no allegiance to Great Britain. I don’t care about some monarchy rubbish. I care more for where our weapons come from and current alliances and geopolitics.
I raise you the AUKUS defense alliance… done.
Its not about the monarchy only at all.
you sound quiet naive here.
Most our weapons don’t come from the USA.
Says the guy confusing the Commonwealth for a military alliance.
The important ones do. How much British kit are we using these days?
@StormRyder13 have a look at this stupid take
no lol.
forgetting 1812 when the USA tried to annex canada.
using a skink and leo as a “non C&P” example is moronic
Says the man who doesn’t understand the difference between a commonwealth realm and a nation thats a part of the commonwealth of nations.
huge distinction.
The most important ones?
Your tanks, adn two types of missiles fired from ships.
the F18s and F35s were a massive con and negative for the aussies as well:
which BTW the UK are major players in the development of said F35
Your entire sub fleet which is being built is from the UK,
You also use missiles such as the tomahawks
were developing the sharktooth and copper head systems together.
also use the HMT extenda from the UK.
want me to keep going?
EDIT: lets not talk about the fact you guys used the damn mirages, tigers, and most your naval ships arent even from the US and the ones that were based off of them are out of service and have been for over 6 years
No. About navy is almost completely European designs and now Japan. We’ve hade recent American jet designs from f111, f18 to f35 but we used mostly British designs before that and European designs like mirage. Even our main battle rifle is Austrian design and SLR before that etc. our current attack helicopter is European. Our new arty is Korean etc. American contributions are substantial but ignoring the even bigger European and Asian share of systems is the majority going back to federation.
Your replacing said attack helicopter with a superior American one (AH-64E)
And replacing the crappy NH-90 with Blackhawks
isnt most ADF kit purchases in the last two decades actually just european?
also theres that naval deal with the japanese, oddly enough not american either of them
Got a source ot say otherwise?
cause BAE developed the software, the F35Bs couldn’t of existed without the british due to the help we gave with teh Vtol and over 15 percent of the parts are british alone.
so yeah
probably why they break down and crash so often
hes already explained it to me in discord calls mate
European =! Britain
See above.
Even when GB was part of the EU, most of our European imports were those that GB never had a hand in designing or producing.
Anyway, we can have different viewpoints on this. I feel like simply dumping all Aussie vehicles in the British tree is to disrespect the partnerships we’ve developed with our other Allies post-WW2.
he’s not saying its britain hes saying that its not mostly from the US.
learn to read.
You don’t even know what I’m quoting. You’re getting muted, child.
I quite literally am reading what you’re quoting, in a response to raz you stated that britain is = to europe. when raz has infact never stated that at all:
He merely was challanging your statement of most the AUS equipment comes from the US which is factually wrong.
Also wheres the deal for that?
ive seen theres suggestions for it but no signed agreements for the blackhawks to get sent, especially due to how they performed last time AUS had em.
