A Commonwealth will be better, with all the tea drinkers and cricketers
Canada has been looking outside of US options for upgrading their air fleet.
Calling those vehicles ROC when they were granted to Taiwan after 1949 is historically inaccurate but is a choice made by Gaijin to avoid political backlash and the very real potential loss of access to the Chinese market. As bullheaded as Gaijin is they can be clever when it comes to the bottom line, sometimes.
Never said there wasn’t, but bear in mind that the US was under Britain for a short duration compared to India.
Whether you like it or not, it has relevance. I could also go into further about all of this, but this forum isn’t the place for it so I will leave it at that.
The true solution should be this.
Though I feel Canada should be in GB. However they’ve already denied the idea of making a Canadian subtree. What would Canada offer to the US? Some Hornets, Leopards and the ADATS? Nothing the US really needs IMO. The GB TT is kind of depressing.
It’s historically accurate. Their constitution refers to themselves as ROC. There are a few islands off the coast of Fukien under ROC control, so it’s more inaccurate to call them Taiwan than ROC.
Why did you take my suggestion about Poland subtree helicopters for Japan and change it to Canada? Be creative on your own.
Psst, it was a joke
That doesn’t mean you can’t be creative. Copying text from my suggestion is taking the easy way out.
Thank you for telling me that’s actually a really good solution that I didn’t think of!
Sorry, but they should be in the British tree just like Australia.
In WW2 they produced British vehicles as well as their own, they fought with British & Commonwealth Forces, and were under British command. After WW2 just like Australia, still recognize the Crown as their Head of State.
Also, sorry, but there are also far more Canadian vehicles in the British tree. There’s the:
- Ram I (being added soon)
- Ram II
- Skink
- ADATS
- QF 3.7 RAM
- HMCS Terra Nova
- HMCS Brantford
- HMCS Haida
- MTB-460 (Incorrect nation bug report awaiting action)
- Prendergast’s Spitfire (Incorrect nation bug report awaiting action)
- CF-188A (being added soon)
All the US has is the:
- Stuart VI (5th CAD)
- M4A5
- Skink & Premium “Pacific” Skink (still hilariously bad in historical terms that one)
The only thing that I agree with you is the fact all of the Canadian vehicles should be in one tree. Just not the one you’re suggesting.
What was the “gap or need” for the Canadian Leopards to go into the German tree? I don’t think they lack for their own Leopards or need Canadian Leopards.
I’m sure Gaijin must understand the frustration of Canadian and Australian players when you’re expected to grind out multiple trees just to use your nations vehicles. Might have been fun to make a line up with the Canadian Leopards and Canadian Hornets, or the Australian Abrams and Australian Hornets.
They wanted a 11.7 premium for the German tree that was also well known.
At the same time Britain didn’t have any “gap or need” when it comes to 11.7 MBTs.
Domestic options exist, such as:
Also the Leopard 2 KVT.
That’s 12.0 material, so can’t be a premium (yet).
Except that you can’t. The C2A1 is a event vehicle, the 2A4M CAN is a premium, none of which are grindable. The M1A1 AIM is a squadron vehicle which you can purchase or grind without ever having a single RP in the US tree. You can access all Canadian and Australian vehicles without ever having to grind any tree outside of Britain.
Didn’t realize we were promoting single vehicle lineups now.
The Canadian examples are some of the more unique and different ones to the standard German ones.
For events, vehciles need to be interesting so that people actually want them rather than “just another leopard”.
Similarly for the premium 2A4, Germany already had premium Leos. So something more unique was required, and with the existing Canadian event Leopard, it lined up nicely.
Look, I appreciate you responding to me. I really do.
As I said above, it’s just frustrating to a lot of us Australian’s and Canadians that we don’t just get a single nation to have all our vehicles. A lot of us was hoping with the news regarding the British tree reshuffle, the mention of a Commonwealth line, and the new Canadian and Australian vehicles we might have seen a shift in the official stance.
We dont rule out that more Canadian and Australian vehicles will come to the British tree. But that wont impact those that are already in other trees for those that own them.
disregarding Canda here.
Australia is in the Five Power Defence Arrangement (FDPA) alongside New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Great Britain which is a military alliance. Would that not immediately say that they should all be under the same British tech tree?
