That’s 12.0 material, so can’t be a premium (yet).
Except that you can’t. The C2A1 is a event vehicle, the 2A4M CAN is a premium, none of which are grindable. The M1A1 AIM is a squadron vehicle which you can purchase or grind without ever having a single RP in the US tree. You can access all Canadian and Australian vehicles without ever having to grind any tree outside of Britain.
Didn’t realize we were promoting single vehicle lineups now.
The Canadian examples are some of the more unique and different ones to the standard German ones.
For events, vehciles need to be interesting so that people actually want them rather than “just another leopard”.
Similarly for the premium 2A4, Germany already had premium Leos. So something more unique was required, and with the existing Canadian event Leopard, it lined up nicely.
Look, I appreciate you responding to me. I really do.
As I said above, it’s just frustrating to a lot of us Australian’s and Canadians that we don’t just get a single nation to have all our vehicles. A lot of us was hoping with the news regarding the British tree reshuffle, the mention of a Commonwealth line, and the new Canadian and Australian vehicles we might have seen a shift in the official stance.
We dont rule out that more Canadian and Australian vehicles will come to the British tree. But that wont impact those that are already in other trees for those that own them.
disregarding Canda here.
Australia is in the Five Power Defence Arrangement (FDPA) alongside New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Great Britain which is a military alliance. Would that not immediately say that they should all be under the same British tech tree?
So South Korea should be SUP TREE for USA. Oh yeah !!!
No. There are many international agreements and treaties in reality, however these are not relevant in game.
Hell no, Britain doesn’t need vehicles from 7 nations.
Little late to say that (there already are vehicles from 7 nations in the British tree)
Luckily the British tree is only the home tree for 3 nations so I’m still happy.
Canada and Australia are still not full sub nations.
Tbh with the kuwait and new Zealand vehicles in the tree as well that people always forget about (although in fairness both are somewhat forgettable vehicles in game wise)
The Desert Warrior and the Strikemaster are in the British tech tree because they are British-built vehicles.
Since a) Britain doesn’t operate the Desert Warrior or any of the Strikemaster variants
and b) Kuwait and NZ aren’t subtrees, both of these vehicles were added to the British tree.
The placement of these vehicles doesn’t mean that future Kuwaiti and NZ vehicles would be limited to the British tree (e.g. a Kuwait Abrams or a Kiwi A-4 are more likely to be added to the US tree than the British tree)
The placement of the Saudi Lightning or the Polish Sherman Firefly and the ORP Garland are similar examples
Hell according to Gaijin not even the Australian and Canadian vehicles will be limited to the British tree iirc.
Yup, we’ve been told that Australian and Canadian vehicles could go into whatever tree Gaijin deems fit.
If, according to them, Germany needs Aussie Boxers, then those Boxers are gonna go to Germany.
Or maybe they determine that the US tree needs the ASLAV.
Aussie Mirages could go to France
Aussie Black Hawks and Kiowas could go to the US
Aussie EC Tigers could go to Germany or France
Canadian CF-5, CF-101 and CF-104 could go to the US
Heck, they could even add the CF-104 to Sweden via Norway or Denmark and then never add it anywhere else and they could end up never adding a regular CF-5, leaving the NF-5 to be the only variant of the CF-5 in the game
I’m back from the future, still noooooo
They said in August this line is now going to be dedicated to Commonwealth tanks and export MBT’s.
Smin (iirc) has also commented that just because some commonwealth vehicles are being added to the British tree doesn’t mean that all commonwealth vehicles will go there.
