People never leaving spawn on a few maps a good reason
As it stands SPAA has no functional way to rearm without putting themselves through enemy sight lines with no real justification.
This encourages people to J out when they run out of ammo rather than waste the ~60 seconds to traverse the map then another ~60 seconds+ to rearm.
This is while possibly behind under fire from air targets who have room to move back to the airfield which is protected against other planes and rearm at no risk to themselves beyond spent time.
Ground units as well suffer on single point game modes where they’re encouraged to suicide charge because they are low on ammo and there is no possibility of retaking the point.
Overall it’s negative towards all game modes and the game’s health in general not to have some rearmament function in the spawn.
If you don’t capture the zone you will lose the game.
You haven’t told me why you are suggesting it
Because SPAA are intended to fight aircraft, not tanks, and having to go into the middle of the tank fray is suicidal and has nothing to do with the role they are supposed to be playing. Why WOULD it make sense to make SPAA go into the tank battle just to be able to fight airplanes who aren’t at the tank battle area?
The fact that the resupply circle would be an obvious, known place to strafe already makes it balanced just fine.
Why would you possibly want ammo resupply at spawn? Can you at least clarify that?
and we will slowly go over the rest later maybe.
I just did in the comment above.
So do you suggest everybody stays on the spawn point? Are you suggesting a long range artillery game?
How do you even get a plane if we all do that?
Or are you suggesting we only have SPAA support if the tankers stay on spawn?
Are you suggesting the Capture zones are too dangerous for anybody ? If they are I would appreciate SPAA not being on the spawn point but out near the capture zone.
SPAA, yes, obviously, that is their intended role… “Are you suggesting things do their intended role?! WHAAA?” …Yup.
Are you suggesting [multiple completely random things that had nothing to do with what anyone actually said]
No that’s why we didn’t say any of those things.
Your supposed to push forward
Your supposed to push forward [In an SPAA]

Yes that is the general idea for tank gameplay. This is not a tank only game mode though and being a mixed battle more dynamic gameplay is both encouraged and is the reality.
This being the case, it would seem to necessitate some way to rearm that doesn’t rely upon arbitrarily placed capture zones which are the objective goal of the game mode and instead some neutral / safe position where you can replenish and begin your assault again.
Ah OK finally lol
I actually get that ,like the M42 Contraerea? A few shots fired and you might as well be dead so you just bail out,you have to sometimes.
The good side might be enhanced spawn protection.
The bad side little protection for the team going forward.
The major downside is How deadly things like the AMX10 is when facing WW2 bombers a BR below it .It could ruin CAS for many and the game. Then we are back to the old CAS vs No CAS argument.
Company of Heroes had a way of doing things. The map was divided into segments and as you took a segment you gained the ability to reload(a supply line in effect) ,if you lost the segment the other side gained the ability .You captured valuable ground as you went.If another vehicle captured the segment behind you your supply line was cut.The games lasted longer and were strategic and much more fun.
WT could simply make the area around a capture point much bigger to replicate this.Like a concentric circle,A big one for resupply and a smaller one for the actual capture.
Dont think I am trying to be a smart ass with you just trying to get what you mean and why. Thanks
WT’s maps I don’t believe are good enough for this to be a solution.
Well hard to argue that lol I think WT has little more than the makings of a very good game at the moment in any ways.It seems to be regressing rather than improving. The people at Gaijin may well know why.Maybe WT is slowly getting wound down now and the eggs put in a newer and more lucrative basket.
Dont go saying things like that
Why do you suspect it is true? I didn’t renew my subscription in the sale for that reason to be honest.I have little faith.
They have many games
That is what I mean.
There submarine event must of took some effort
Gajin have always done short term events but no real major changes.I just get the feeling they are winding down.
Anyway, off topic.
Having thought about it I can see no reason not to second the OP’s motion for ammo reload on spawn.
I think it recreates a return to the depot for resupply especially for all vehicles. It might give the Calliope or the Katyusha reason to exist as well.
