If you are flying at treetop level, which honestly I dont see why you wouldnt be, then its pretty difficult if not impossible for SPAAs to hit you before you get over the battlefield to drop it. Not to mention it also makes it much harder for enemy fighters to lock you and their Radar missiles to hit you.
That said, while the plane probably should have flares and chaff at top tier, simply spawning a nuke is not an automatic I win button, nor should it be. People should be given the opportunity to shoot you down.
The Su-7 tops out at Mach 1.04 without any payload and minimum fuel at sea level. Also, not all maps are flat; there are more than a few where the airfield is visible by some spawn, or you have to fly over mountains where a type 81 or strella can shoot at you. Most radar-guided spaa aren’t a problem because they can’t see you for long enough to kill you, but ir is because, like I mentioned before no falirs. Then we get to any jet over rank 7, and some in rank 6 have all aspect IR missiles that can lock you at aloeads one mile from the front, and the Russian jets have the R-27ER 3 mile lock rating from the front, so multipathing won’t save you from that.
All I’m saying is that we need jets that have a chance of surviving against 14.0 jets like the F-111 and the Su-24.
Personally I feel an F4E would be a good choice for western nuke plane starting around 11.0 as it is still worse than current top tier planes but able to defend its self to a better degree than the current one. Additionally it was used by many countries unlike something like F111.
however I am unsure of a good Soviet counterpart as I dont know if any mig21 variants were nuclear capable
