Why are the Challenger 1s at 10.3 and 10.7?

they slammed the .50 cal with the nerfs though, what is the best HMG in the world is now one of the worst ingame

Still does more damage than the 7.7mm on most CR1/CR2s even though they could equip 50 Cals

maybe if they gave them their rightful SLAP and SLAP-T rounds id fully agree, but as it is now, the utility is pretty similar except for shooting down low flying helis where .50 is definitely better

if CR1 was to get bigger ready rack with better thermals and fire rate than M1, id hope for them to model ungoverned top speed on early abrams (around 60 mph but below 70)

by this article from GDLS employee, abrams stripped of armor could hit around 70mph Abrams vs. SRT® Hellcat | Dodge Garage

would be funny to add armor removal modification to abrams to allow it to hit such speed

you should be grateful you have a .50 cal

By nerf do you mean the recent overheat change ?
If yes, you can still shoot like 3-4 belts continuously before your gun jams, so that nerf is a nothingburger.

Really fitting it dude.

but does DSHK, NVST, Kord, KPV, and whatever the chinese 12.7mm is called overheat?

200 to 100 rounds is a really big nerf, and at lower BR is what really brings some vehicles together

i think they should add the SLAP rounds to higher tier vehicles to make up for this nerf

Remember most countries only get 7.62’s.

I don’t know, some don’t even have 400 rounds to test.

I think not.

late ww2 russian tanks, and anything past that all get HMG

sure, German stuff doesnt really have .50 cal but they do have very good 7.62/7.92

some british WW2 has M2, but yeah for the most part they dont put HMG on their tanks

a bunch of japanese, chinese, italian, and french stuff has HMG or for french, some autocannons.

swedes have it on finnish tanks, isrealis have it all throughout their tree

why not? would be 1980’s onward vehicles so mostly high tier US .50 cal would have it, not like its going to be on shermans

they are already ingame on GAU-19 (but can be put on US M2’s)

Why do they need it?

better ballistic (faster) and pen against light vehicles

its also something that it CAN do, and not gamebreaking, so it should be able to do it

Chieftain Mk3/Mk5 have a coaxial 50 cal, but this was removed on later version. I dont know about the CR1s, I guess they probably could but for logistical reasons they didnt (same ammo can be used for turret and coaxial) and 7.62mm is enough for dealing with infantry.

Callenger 2s though… Definetly had a 50 cal as an option, again for logistical reasons it wasnt common, but there was no reason why they all couldnt get 50 cals in game, would give a notable buff to anti-heli fire if nothing else. (also the Leonardo enforcer remote weapon system on the 2F, OES and TES could mount a 40mm GL)

should be something CR2 can equip then, same with 40mm but idk how useful those would be, unless UK had the HEAT rounds for them

It’s a rangefinding MG like on the Vickers Mk.1 or all the M40 Recoilless Rifle vehicles. Specifically for the HESH round I believe

Chally 2E has it currently and the 2E is the best tank in the British tree currently anyway

Yep, and OES has the 50 cal for the Remote weapon system. But its one of the many “soft-buffs” they could give the CR2s but just… wont.

There was a good idea floating around the CR2 thread (I dont know if a suggestion was ever made or not) to just allow tanks to pick which turret they want. So even if 40mm GL was useless, it oculd still be a laugh to sling off a load of 40mm shells

That’s what I thought, you don’t have to come at me.
