It’s a rangefinding MG like on the Vickers Mk.1 or all the M40 Recoilless Rifle vehicles. Specifically for the HESH round I believe
Chally 2E has it currently and the 2E is the best tank in the British tree currently anyway

Yep, and OES has the 50 cal for the Remote weapon system. But its one of the many “soft-buffs” they could give the CR2s but just… wont.
There was a good idea floating around the CR2 thread (I dont know if a suggestion was ever made or not) to just allow tanks to pick which turret they want. So even if 40mm GL was useless, it oculd still be a laugh to sling off a load of 40mm shells
That’s what I thought, you don’t have to come at me.
BR Compression. Challys are bad and has a loud, distinctive engine sound that makes it easy to identify. The “good turrets” does not offer much advantages compared to their NATO counterparts. (other than cheftian mk 10 for its BR)
yeah, would be nice to be able to pick exactly what configuration your tank is. maybe allow for some russian tanks to switch from 12.7 to 14.5 if possible too, and the whole SLAP round thing
Yeah, SLAP will probably feel like a misting of spring water to a War Thunder helicopter
at least itll do more than a regular round if it hits something important that is covered by some armor. also iirc they are DU so should have more spall, and incinidieary spall to boot
On the topic of the Challenger, it’s balanced at 10.3 and 10.7.
Great armor, great firepower, decent mobility. Not much to complain about especially with the good gun handling and reverse. The engine is underpowered but it’s still mobile, just not as much as an Abrams or Leopard but that’s a given.
could use firepower buff from better modeling of its DU rounds though
Compared to the later trash-heaps that are the CR2s, I do agree. Though I still dont think there is any justification for ahistorically sized ready rack (4 rounds instead of its 20+) and/or stupidly long ready rack replenishment (20-25 seconds per round)
After that, its just a little polishing that wont really affect balance much that is needed for them and then fixing the rest of the line-up. Things like the Stormer needs some buffs/fixes and we could still do with a decent gun IFV
ready rack + DU fix for its L26 rounds should put it in a decent spot
Mk2 has L23A1. Mk3/DS have L26 but I think both are DU, but dont quote me on that
wiki says L23A1 is Tungsten but L26 is DU, but its wiki after all
I honestly have no idea, so Id trust wiki
so would mostly help the challenger 2, which is good since apparently challenger is solid how it is now
Yeah, the small ready rack isn’t a huge issue but the replenishment absolutely is. Reminds me of 7.7/8.0 French autoloaders.
10.7 is a great lineup, the Vickers Mk.7 is amazing. Surprised Gaijin hasn’t done the usual when a minor nation has something good. Desert Warrior is nerfed due to the TOWs being bad. Challys like I said are good. And the Bhishma is… an option, lol.
Don’t worry, we’ll be getting 3 new Indian SPAAs at 10.7 next update ;)
It’s suffers a bit due to compression, but fairly solid vs most others at its BR. Its also the last in which we actually have a decent line-up.
great, then a DU fix and CR1/2 ready rack buff would make britain somewhat competitive at the top
I really need to work on that line at some point, but I just cant be bothered to farm ground at the moment. Heck. I’ve done most of the event in aircraft in GSB :D
Yeah… Not far off spading it, and its a pain to try and use. Would kill for something like a Warrior VERDI II for that BR. That would be a LOT of fun.
Would finally fix the gap we have at that BR, either there or at 8.3. Missing an SPAA for that BR as well.
