Why are players with full line-up punished with crew lock, while players with one tank are not?

I have never had an urge to post something to the forum but this type of game where everyone leaves after one death and your team is half empty in the first minutes of the game is getting ridiculous and it’s still as frequent as it was before. Why do I as a player that have a full lineup have to wait for my crew lock when someone who is having only one vehicle can normaly leave without any punishment?

I don’t like leaving after one death but in this situation what am I or any other player that didn’t left can do? Game like this has zero fun only pure frustration, because no matter what you do your team loses and it also works in opposite where you just go forward and win game with max of one kill.

I like my spare time and when this type of game occurs (which is like every second game on toptier) I leave too and turn off War Thunder for the day, because I play to have fun, not to be frustrated. Waiting 5+ minutes for my crew lock is pointless.

Also I want to point out that almost no one uses those free stock vehicles, because why would they. People who play like this will always leave no matter what, because there is no punishment for them only for one that plays with them.

Except for Air RB, which literally is “one and done”, they should require
a minimum of 3 vehicles in your line up to even activate the
“To Battle” button.

While this would not do away with those that leave matches early, it might
lessen how often they do it.

“But won’t that increase the number of low tier vehicles that are brought into
high tier matches??” Perhaps . . it might, but if they are leaving anyway
it won’t matter that much. And players do that regardless now anyway, so . .

Without some sort of testing of this approach, no one knows for sure.

But selling high tier premiums to people who do not have anything to go with
them to make proper line ups is just going to put their team mates at a
disadvantage as it is.

They are not going to stop or restrict those sales, just ain’t going to happen.
And people are not going to suddenly develop patience and learn how to
develop their accounts properly(the old fashioned way . . . lol) So . . . things will
not likely change any time Soon™, if ever . . .

My proposal will not eliminate the situation(s), but might lessen it’s effects
enough to be more “palatable” to everyone . . worth a shot

So what about Israel that starts off with one tank?

Thing is, there’s no way Gaijin will do anything that will reduce premium sales. Preventing new players from entering battles with their ONE premium would, IMO lower sales.

reserves already recieve special treatment (perma backups), you can add an exception to the of “if only 1 reserve vehicle then it can enter anyways”

This is absolutely something I hate. Especially with backups. I have 9 vehicle lineups and if the game is going terribly I’ll use all 9 vehicles, but if I sometimes leave with backups remaining then I get a random crew lock?
