Why are maps designed like if we had a health bar and coulden't be one shotted?

So many maps, the only viable way to play is to stay back and farm players while hoping someone is stupid enaught to go and cap the point, which will certainly result in their death even if they manage to cap

Best example is maginot, you cannot cap the points without relying on your enemies missing their shot, the only way to play smart is to just find a spot and just farm player the whole game hoping on ones revenge bomb you

Nah, Maginot (the large, aka normal, size one) is the game’s best map. It has a city for those who want it. It has a medium-range area for those who want it. It has a longer-range area for those who want it. One cap in each means no single playstyle is forced.

I miss being able to get the large Maginot map in my Shermans, T-34s, and Panzer IVs. Actually realistic combat ranges on those guns, nevermind anything bigger…

I’m not complaining about sweden because I have it banned and it’s been the case since 2023, i tried removing the ban on it once but i remembered how shit it was

I genuiantly dont know whats wrong with this map but i DESPISE it

I was actually wondering why I like advance to rhine (up to certain BR at least) and I despise sweden and the answer is, Sweden is too fake, its too clean and arrangment of streets of themselves reminds me more of DoTA than actual European town.

No piles of rubble on the street, no destroyed buildings to shoot through.

Most streets meet at nearly perfect 90° angles.

It’s probably because rhine being small gives less room for anoyance, it’s compact so the tight angle are natural and fun to play with, on a huge map like sweden, having to check every angle in third person is just tedious
