It is the same reason that top tier US is not doing well.
You have a br range in a nation that has very popular tanks, also with the idea of “near impossible to kill”.
It draws in a lot of newer people as well as those who play it assuming that said tanks can survive brawls.

then the matchmaker doesnt like i have all 10 slots filled with vehicles and puts me in the bad teams…
All big three nation’s players are bad. They’re noobs, they don’t know every angle or how to listen for distinct engine sounds or the flow of battle. Gaijin makes this worse by allowing players to skip to top tier where the combat is sped up quite a bit.
The game wouldn’t be fun if everyone knew every angle, the issue is when battles are short because everyone dies in their first tank and heads to hanger. This can be resolved by making sure every Battle Rating has a distinct lineup for players to utilize, and by making sure premium vehicles have the same. 10.0-11.0 Russia is a good example of a strong premium line up.

Players overly rely on there armor.
At 5.7 most newer players rushed into it, and don’t have the experience that is built upon by playing and spading the 2.3-3.7 range. This followed by nigh “Invincible” Tiger H1 myth causes players to not perform well.
At Top Tier, German players are pretty over aggressive and it gets them killed easily.
I think a good solution to the Premuim spam 1 death leavers is for gaijin to release premuim packs with more than 1 vehicle. Like Tiger Ost/West.

there isnt a real difference between usa/ussr/ger players, you’ve just fabricated a difference in your mind and now you will see this “difference” constantly even if you’re just neglecting how dumb usa/ussr players are and highlighting with extra emphasis how bad german players are.

well the stats in warthunder or thunderskill isnt in my mind. i am going down in W/L as soon i fo german and i go up as soon i go japan…
I find Germany players to be the worse of the big 3, mind you, there all bad, but germans are objectively the worst.

Not all of them are bad, you will find exceptional players in there no differently than any other tree, but Germany, particularly in tanks, is just extremely popular with newer players.
Post war, The collective west has spent 3 quarters of a century hyping up everything Germany ever produced - to make the achievement of defeating it seem ever greater. Endless wunderwaffe documentary’s on history channels, portrayals of these things as monsters in movies and music. Average man on the street probably doesn’t know what a Churchill / Meteor / Rodney is, but he almost certainly will have heard of a Tiger / 262 / Bismarck.
People think these things were the best, so when they start playing they flock to them. Not unique to WT either, other games in this Genre experience a similar thing.
It’s not even just Germany either. Same thing happens with US in air. Everyone has had it drummed into them that US is the irl air superpower within living memory, so they think this will be reflected ingame, and that’s how you end up with F4S being the most played aircraft in all of 2024 lol.

At top tier sure, but that’s because of how great the Leopards are, and why a lot of experienced players play the nation in Top Tier.
If you look at mid tier (around 8.0) or low tier (around 5.7), you would start to see some of the lowest win rates.
i play only top tier

Not really, I’ll take them over US at top tier any days
at least i win more often with German than with the US
