Why are bug report mods always like the guy online who always knows better?

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/cNK1b39zUjr6

LIke, what do you want from me?

You think a 3,7cm AA gun is going to overheat after 5 shots?

You want me to find some document, which might not even exist, that says “this gun can fire 100 rounds before it’s unsafe to continue fire”?

Not a bug == Everything is correct

Which clearly is not the case.

And there are a million reports where common knowledge and logic are simply rejected, while many others are approved while containing neither.

This isn’t a big deal but this also means it will never change, unless someone invests an unreasonable time to fix something that shouldn’t even be broken, since it wasn’t an issue until Gaijin decided to change it without ever annoucning it in any patch notes or giving their source for this change.

Cuz they don’t like the community, they like the money. Imagine mr.krabs but irl, same thing

Volunteers “liking money”…
Uhuh.

Well, you see, If Gaijin cared, maybe they would actually pay to have some decent people do a good job then. lol

the only reason i can get anything through the CBR website is from knowing a tech mod.

(DO NOT HARASS THE FEW GOOD CBR MANAGERS)

Theres a certain individual in charge of the bug reporting system thats had controversies before. He is still there causing problems, we all know who

Exactly

I think they need more tech mods

They don’t have the amount of people needed for the volume of reports.

They also need to chill with their bug reporting policies. Like, bruh, not everything needs to be 100% correct with top notch sources agreeing.
Sometimes thinks are just wrong and obviously so.

People responded to calls for employees [CMs and probably Senior Tech Mods], and volunteers.
And the volunteers are the best of who responded looking for the position.

I can’t say any of us would be a good pick for the positions, we all have our behaviors and biases.
I am too lenient, and have my own distractability that wouldn’t make me good.

I’d be passing reports with good enough information, and that wouldn’t be good for anyone. Not the devs, not myself as a player, not the people looking in.

Say what you will about annoying denials, annoying acceptances are far more stressful.

Like me when I reported the hawker hunter.

It’ll sustain 8G in game at over .8 Mach.

Considering the planes top speed is .9 Mach how does it have the extra thrust over drag to sustain 8G ??

I’m pretty sure Gaijin’s acceptance of a report leans one way or another depending on how comfortable they are with the idea gameplay-wise. They aren’t being objective, skeptical critics, they’re just being stupidly pragmatic. If they felt that buffing the cannon would benefit them, then even the slightest conjecture would be proof enough to pass it through…

they need more, and to ensure that theres no people that are very much biased one way or the other to the point of putting certain political references into their name.

would also help if each nation got a specific community manager/CBR mod (who actually likes the nation not like with the chinese one) so that there wont be situations where a france main has to twist a german mains arm for their own stuff to function

I do like that idea as well.

Wink wink nudge nudge any gaijin people, i’d like to take a stab at it

But yeah, there aren’t enough tech mods

And probably not enough Dev’s to sort out small fixes. Hence probably why they banned Imperial HP → Metric PS reports for anything below a 20ps difference, of which they previously used to take, this affects all UK/US vehicles, and its complete codswallop because no matter how much HP you gain or no, its ALWAYS a 0.014% boost

And is stupid because we’re still allowed to make Imperial (long)–> Metric ton reports, (which is 0.016% heavier, so rather than breaking even, we’re always at a disadvantage (1, 2, 3)

You nerfed everything lol.

Also another thing they started asking for recently.

Instead of calculating G to speed to get turn rate they want you to perform 180 degree turns through a heading to determine the average turn rate of aircraft???!!! Like why.

I mean, with hundreds of milions of revenue, they would be risking their financial stability if they hired a guy to, you know, change plywood aircraft skin steel equivalent thickness from 0,001mm to 0,2mm. It used to be around 0,2mm till Gaijin decided to make it 200 times thinner, so most HE rounds no longer fuse (at 0,2mm some also failed to fuse, f.e. 20mm M-geschoss had trouble with Soviet aircraft for like 10 years straight, but that was mostly due to M-geschoss having ridiculously low sensitivity in game).

Or surely they would go bankrupt if some guy removed black horizontal stabiliser as “severe damage” condition and added elevator/elevator control loss and maybe even rudder loss + certain amount of wing damage (outside of some Soviet prop aircraft that can also fly with ni wings, it’s a death sentence in like 19/20 cases).

But hell no. They won’t. Just like they won’t punish rammer-teamkillers and instead punish their victims If you get rammed and your plane explodes, it counts as you teamkilling the offender. Why? Because that’s the best way. Gaijin way. They don’t care for losers, and every ramming victim is one for sure.
