SPAAGs are just bad, they can’t really compete with CAS… then yes, skill is a factor too when you don’t have a radar and even still you need to know how to use it

AA player here, its not all of us lol some are bad but i have it out for CAS any game im in. Doesnt matter if im in an AA or an HE slinger im popping CAS on sight.
We get target tracking for aircraft, not auto aim, we still have to lead targets manually
You press x with a keyboard and the camera tracks the target on console.
It does not - however - aim for you.
well yea nobody other than USSR and Germany get a usable SPAA there
still a major advantage even against mouse and keyboard
Helps track targets but it doesn’t help lead.
And if it existed at some point on pc and people whined, then it’s solely their fault it got removed.

I suspect either SPAA missiles or certain airframes may be bugged currently, I’ve noticed some helis only get crit from multiple missile hits, while others vaporize.
Su-25 has also always been very tanky.

If my post hadn’t been deleted, it would have shown the problems with War Thunder players.
For some reason, they keep trying to aim at the plane, rather than away from the plane, where their rounds would have a higher chance of hitting.
I did the same thing, but that only lasted for a brief period. So I’ve honed my skill for AA since 2017. While I make it look easy, it is easy. Unfortunately, some just cannot figure it out, rather puzzling.
